Hitman 3has finally released! And ifthe reviews are anything to go by, the conclusion to theWorld of Assassinationtrilogy is a good one. The game offers players more interconnected maps and levels. Each map comes complete with its own backstories, lore, and enough replayability in a single mission to rival complete games.

It’s a massive title andHitman 3will likely keep its fans busy until the developer releasesProject 007.However, for fans of stealth and the series' impeccable level design, there are other games in the stealth genre that should keepHitmanfans happy for a while longer.
10Aragami: Shadow Edition
Released in 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the PC,Aragami: Shadow Editionis a wonderfully stylized stealth game that places the player in the shoes of a vengeful spirit named Aragami.
It’s an open-world game where Aragami has control of the shadows and teleport between them and use a variety of creative strategies to take down enemies. It’s a far more mystical game than theHitmanseries but the freedom and variety of ways to kill an enemy will definitely appeal to stealth fans.A sequel featuring co-op gameplayhas also been announced.

9Mark Of The Ninja: Remastered
Released in 2018 for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch,Mark of the Ninjais a 2D action stealth game where the player takes on the role of a ninja defending his clan. Despite being a 2D game it offers its players a similar experience in stealth and strategy.
Players need to use tactics in order to defeat enemies and take advantage of the shadows and environmental opportunities to clear out levels and defeat enemies as tactically as possible.

8Goldeneye 007: Reloaded
The originalGoldeye 007that released on Nintendo 64 is and always will be a classic and one of the greatest games to use a combination of stealth mechanics and action. For those looking for a more modern James Bond experience, however, 2010’sGoldeneye 007: Reloadedis another great experience.
It reimagines the plot of theGoldeneyemovie with Daniel Craig now in the lead role and naturally has fantastic voice acting. Players can also replay missions with different stipulations in place offering a similar experience to theHitmanfranchise.

7Ghost Of Tsushima
Released in 2020,Ghost of Tsushimais one of the biggest titles of the year and easily one of the best PlayStation 4 exclusives released. The game offers players a variety of gameplay mechanics to defeat enemies in its stunning open world with animmense amount of detail.

From amazing swordplay to some really excellent stealth mechanics (that even allow players to disguise themselves as enemy Samurai – with the right outfit unlocked),Ghost of Tsushimaoffers players several ways to take down enemies.
6Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
Released as aprologue toMetal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Painin 2014, Ground Zeroesis a much shorter experience than the main game when it is played to complete the main mission. However, this little prologue has so much more content hidden beneath the surface and those willing to look will find a more focused, layered, and deep stealth experience.
The best way to playGround Zeroesis to complete the game’s Side Ops missions and work to complete the Trophies and Achievements. Doing so will provide a similar kind of stealth experience forHitmanfans and reveal a much bigger game than it first appears.

5Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts
Released in 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC,Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contractsis the fifth entry in the series. It is the best game in the series and offers a more focused and polished stealth experience than its predecessors after several patches were put in place.
Instead of one fully open-world, the player now completes missions on smaller – but still large – maps that have 25 missions to complete along with optional and open-ended contract missions. The game’s objectives have lots of variety, and likeHitman,there are endless ways to complete missions.

4Assassin’s Creed: Rogue
First released in 2015 and later remastered for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC,Assassin’s Creed: Rogueflips the script and places players in the shoes of a former assassin named Shay Cormac that has turned against the Creed and joined the Templars.

An argument can be made for fans of stealth to try all of theAssassin’s Creedgames — but inRogue,players get to be an assassin of assassins. Not only does this bring in a new and interesting dynamic to the formula but it’s a fresh new take on a long-running series that will interest fans of theHitmanfranchise.
3The Dishonored Series
TheDishonoredseriesis another mystical take on the stealth genre and has many elements that make it similar to the classicThiefseries and of courseHitman.Just likeHitman,bothDishonoredtitles and their expansions offer players a ton of variety when it comes to assassinating targets.
The amount of variety in the gameplay is astonishing from combat to using magic abilities like controlling rats to kill targets. The amount of replay value in theDishonoredgames is only rivaled by theHitmanseries.

2Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Released in 2013,Splinter Cell: Blacklistwas the final entry in the stealth series and it remains one of the most polished stealth games ever released. Visually, the game still holds up beautifully thanks in part to a recent update from Ubisoft to enhance the game’s visuals.
As with its predecessors,Blacklistoffers players a variety of options when it comes to completing missions and a ton of replay value in the same way that theHitmanseries approaches its missions.

1Sniper Elite 4
Released in 2017 for the Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, andthe Switch two years later,Sniper Elite 4is a stealth game set during World War 2. Each level offers its players densely built, large and open maps to explore like those found in theHitmanseries.
These maps also allow the player to approach their targets in a variety of ways to kill their targets and complete their missions. In addition, the environments resemble the maps inHitmanbecause the players can use them to create diversions, accidents, and set up traps while getting away without being seen or heard.
