Despite recently passing its 50th anniversary,UNOcontinues to remain a popular card game. As avid players know, a goodUNOgame can be an exercise in frustration and hilarity, with house rules potentially adding to the drama.

While individuals playing unique takes onUNOwith the base deck is a fairly common thing, uniqueUNOdecks and mods also exist. One such version is now available, fusingAssassin’s Creed Valhallatogether with the classic card game.

TheUNO Valhallacrossover combines the existingUNOgame withAssassin’s Creed ValhallaDLC, similar to the recentFar Cry 6UNODLCcrossover. Rather than simply adding images to the cards or some other sort of visual flair, the change shakes up gameplay considerably, adding in a board game element. Typically,UNOdoesn’t involve a board at all, and players simply take turns discarding whichever card they have in their hand that fits the color, number, or type of card most recently played. However, this version is tying in with a game all about exploring, so it makes sense to bring that element to the game. In keeping with the theme of Vikings exploring the globe, the board is gradually traversed as players take turns discarding their cards.

According to the description, the game board allows players to gain special advantages over their competitors, like discarding multiple cards at once, or random event spots that change the way the game is played. The game also adds the uniqueEivor’s Ravencard, which gives players the major advantage of being able to move to any area of the game board at their leisure. A well-timed Eivor’s Raven could potentially turn the tide of the battle just as easily as a Draw 4 or Skip can in traditionalUNOgames.

ForbigAssassin’s CreedfansorUNOplayers who just want to refresh their gaming experience, this DLC looks like it’ll add quite a bit of fun. The DLC is just $4.99 USD, which seems reasonable given the changes to the gameplay from standardUNO. The DLC is also coming out for the Nintendo Switch, bringing a small piece of theValhallaexperience to the handheld, since it isn’t powerful enough to play the actualAssassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Of course, the Nintendo Switch isn’t entirely without theAssassin’s Creedseries, as it receivedtheEzio Collectionrecently. But for those who can’t get enough of the Viking-centric Ubisoft game, theAsssasin’s Creed Valhalla UNODLC provides a bit of related fun, whether they’re at home or on the go and away from their gaming PCs or consoles.

UNO Valhalla DLCis available now on Luna, PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia.
