Atlusexploded in popularity following the release ofPersona 5. The publisher had developed a loyal fan base for many of its franchises, butPersona 5’s launch was a big turning point. As Atlus celebrates the25-year anniversary of thePersonaseries, its other titles also appear to be getting increased interest, withShin Megami Tensei 5crossing a million copies sold, andSoul Hackers 2launching next month.

Atlus regularly holds a survey with questions related to users’ experience with its games. It also includes questions that gauge consumer interest in future products, including sequels and ports of popular games. Many fans have expressed their interest in buying remakes of olderAtlustitles, as they probably want to play these classic games with modern mechanics and improvements. Now, a new Atlus survey reveals the list of games fans want to see remade the most.

Many may have guessed the topmost answers on this list.Persona 3and thePersona 2duologyare tied for first place as the most-requested remakes from Atlus’ catalog. 78.9% of the users who filled the survey voted for these games, withRevelations: Personacoming third.Persona 4 Goldenis in fourth place with 74.8% of users voting for it, although some would argue that it doesn’t need a full remake as it’s not as dated as the other titles on this list.

BeyondPersona 4 Golden, the list consists of theDevil Summonergames and bothShin Megami Tensei 4andShin Megami Tensei 4: Apocalypse. TheEtrian Odysseyseries takes the final spot, with 58% of users voting for it. Most of these games are not accessible on modern platforms, and it makes sense for fans to demand remakes ofAtlus’ popular franchises. However,Persona 3’s case is perhaps the most interesting.

UnlikeP4,P3doesn’t have a definitive version. BothPersona 3 FESandPersona 3 Portablehave their pros and cons, and fans seem divided on which version is better. As an example,P3Pallows users to directly control their party members, but the presentation takes a massive hit, probably due to the limitations of PSP’s hardware.Atlus’ decision to portP3P, as opposed toP3 FES, to modern platforms led to more discussion on the same, further showing that it needs a remake with the best parts of both versions combined.
