Baldur’s Gate 3has unveiled a new trailer at The Game Awards, featuring the return of the fan favorite ranger Minsc, as well as confirming the release window for the game. Baldur’s Gatefans need not wait long for the full game to come out, as Larian Studios has revealed thatBaldur’s Gate 3will be releasing in August 2023. The announcement was accompanied by a story trailer featuring the game’s gorgeous visuals, as well as confirming the return of afan favorite character inBaldur’s Gate 3.

Minsc crawling out of a mimic with brute force is exactly the kind of entrance this legendary ranger demands, as he will effectively become the onlyBaldur’s Gatecompanionto feature in all three games. Overshadowed by his return is the stunning recreation of the city of Baldur’s Gate, first seen in December 1998, and now beautifully adapted into a thriving metropolis. The city’s landmarks such as Ramazith’s Tower, the Ducal Palace, and even Sorcerous Sundries are all featured in the trailer.

The Early Access forBaldur’s Gate 3recently added Bardas a class, as well as allowing players to create a Gnome. Though it remains to be seen if it will feature another update before the game launches in August.Baldur’s Gatefans who can’t wait that long and are desperate for a hands-on preview will certainly enjoy at least one playthrough ofBaldur’s Gate 3, even in its temporarily reduced state.
