Attacking icons are the most wanted items inFC 24Ultimate Team and, due to the sheer volume of packs unlocked through gameplay, have never been more attainable to the average player. In soccer, as in most team sports, attacking players win games. Players will put more time and effort into acquiring theseplayers than those in other positions.
Thankfully, new card types are consistently added to the game, with the Centurion, Thunderstruck, Winter Wildcard, and Team of the Year (TOTY) Icon variants added to the game since its release in September 2023. This means there are dozens of attacking icon options for players to aim for. No matter the budget, players should find a viable option among this list of the best.
8Franck Ribéry (88 OVR)
The legendaryBayern Munich wingerremains an incredible pull for anyone lucky enough to pack him. With 89 and 88 agility and balance, he feels like a dream to control. His 5-star weak foot helps to make up for his slightly worse shooting, but the pulling power of this card is its ability to beat players and create chances for others.
Ribery has the Technical Playstyle Plus and 5-star skills, meaning players should be able to beat opposition players via skill and pure speed.
7Éric Cantona (90 OVR)
This version of the ex-Manchester United and French striker is a Thunderstruck variant. Cantona is one of the best options for players seeking a well-rounded attacker. Alongside the stats listed above, he has 87 passing and 89 physicality.
This allows him to drop into any position across the front line and, with his 6'2" frame, is one of the few players on this list that players can realistically expect to score headers regularly.
6Emilio Butragueño (90 OVR)
The iconicReal Madrid attackeris recognized with a card that replicates his exploits on the pitch. The very high pace and dribbling stats make Butragueño a player to aspire towards. At around 600k coins, he is one of themore affordable top-level attackers. Although the shooting may look like a significant weak point, he performs far better than this in-game when shooting from within the 18-yard box.
It is up to players to apply a Hunter or Finisher chemistry style. Both give a shooting boost, with the former improving pace and the latter dribbling.
5Bobby Charlton (92 OVR)
One of the best players of his era, the 1966 World Cup winner is the best English player by some distance inFC 24. His strong attacking stats and similar passing stats (91 vision and 88 short passing) make him perfect to play in the CAM or CF position just behind the striker.
Don’t be afraid to shoot with Charlton from any distance; his 93 base shot power (increased to 99 by a Hunter chemistry style) enables him to score from almost anywhere.
4Eusebio (92 OVR)
Centurions Eusebio is a card that players will have to get used to crossing in the online modes of FUT. He was available in aSquad Building Challengein December that was completed by many players. This is for good reason, Eusebio’s stats and in-game feel speak for themselves.
So good in fact, that a Hawk chemistry style (increases shooting, pace, and physicality) would be the best option here as his pace and shooting can only improve by so much.
3Ronaldinho (94 OVR)
Regarded as one of the best dribblers to have ever played the game, Ronaldinho is perhaps the most exciting card to use onFC 24. His high dribbling stats mean he feels like a dream to control, and his playstyle plus, Quickstep, enables him to accelerate away from defenders even faster than he would have without it.
As such, he is one of the least attainable players in the game at around 6 million coins at the time of writing. Players' best bet is to complete the Icon pack/picks in the SBC menu and hope for the best.
2Mia Hamm (95 OVR)
An icon of women’s soccer, Hamm scored for her country 158 times in 276 games while leading her country at three consecutive Olympic games. A versatile player, this card can play across the front line in ST, CAM, and on the right wing.
As this is the TOTY variant, she hastwo playstyle plus’s: Power shot and Rapid. These two give her a shooting and dribbling boost. Her 5-star weak foot only confirms her place as one of the best attackers in anyFifa/FCgame.
1Ronaldo (95 OVR)
The best attacking Icon inFC 24is undoubtedly the TOTY variant of Ronaldo. With his finishing stat being 98 and shot power 94, only once in a blue moon does he miss agood chance in the box.
Furthermore, his playstyle plus’s includes Aerial, which makes him far more likely to win balls in the air in both an attacking and defending context. An unstoppable card if players can find themselves among the fortunate few that own him.
