Summary

Each time the player levels up a character by finishing a battle inGranblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, they’ll earn a certain amount of Rupies that can be spent on either an alternate outfit, or on acquiring some brand-new weapons. While this doesallow a character to bring a new sword, axe, or bow into a fight, the weapons themselves don’t deal any extra damage or have any special buffs of their own. Therefore, these are purely cosmetic changes that will demonstrate to the opponent just how much time and effort a player has put into leveling up their character to equip them with the fanciest skin possible.

While every character has a vast selection of weapons that they can acquire, there are definitely a select few that have stood out to players for their style and design, and that’s exactly what this list is going to take a closer look at today. These are the weapons inGranblue Fantasy Versus: Risingthat take the cake for being the best to both look at and use when jumping into an intense battle.

Blutgang sword in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising

7Blutgang - Katalina

The Blutgang Is A Much Bulkier Version Of Katalina’s Regular Rapier

Katalinais a lightning-fast fighter who excels at hit-and-run tacticsby using her rapier, but while there are a few skins that can spruce it up, by far the best looking of the bunch is theBlutgang. This mystical looking sword has a golden sheen surrounding it that makes it much more eye-catching than her original weapons, and the green energy that flows through the blade is instantly eye-catching since it provides a perfect contrast to the hilt.

Admittedly, the weapon is actually more like a mini-greatsword, as opposed to a rapier, because of how big and bulky it looks, but Katalina will still be able to dance around her opponents with it equipped, ensuring it doesn’t sacrifice any speed for style. It might be a little expensive, but any Katalina mains should definitely keep it in mind as it’s an incredibly fancy looking sword that is guaranteed to show up the opponent in battle.

Alsarav in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising

6Alsarav - Vaseraga

The Gigantic Scythe Known As Alsarav Perfectly Suits The Size Of Vaseraga

The big and bulky behemoth known asVaseragaprefers to wield a scythe when entering a fight, which he will gladly use to slice anyone who stands in his way into ribbons. He has a fair selection of different types to choose from, but what makes theAlsaravso captivating is its size and design. The blade of this weapon is absolutely massive, looking like something that the Grim Reaper himself would be carrying around, but while it looks very menacing, the traditional red and bronze design of the weapon still makes it feel very stylish.

Considering how big Vaseraga is, it only makes sense that he would be hauling around a giant weapon that can firmly rest on his shoulders, and this most certainly applies to Alsarav. The good news is, players will be able to unlock this weapon with just a little bit of grinding and leveling up, so it’s well worth picking up after a few matches.

Golden SHRIMP Spreader in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising

5Golden SHRIMP Spreader - Eustace

Never Has A Rifle Looked More Luxurious Than The Golden SHRIMP Spreader

It’s clear that the team at Arc System had an absolute blast creating some of these weapons considering how unique and out-there they are, and a prime example of this is the luxurious yet lethalGolden SHRIMP Spreader. Believe it or not, this weapon is actuallya rifle thatEustacecan use to pick enemies off from afar, but the strange wrapped handle does make it look like something else entirely.

There’s no denying just how visually stunning this gun is though, from the long shrimp antennas that stretch over the handle, to the bright golden color palette that’s splashed over the entire weapon, it’s a luxurious piece of equipment that almost looks a little too pristine to carry into battle. Somehow, the Golden SHRIMP Spreader manages to look silly and intimidating at the same time thanks to its unusual design.

Judgment Trickester

4Judgment Trickster - Charlotta

The Mischievous Design Of The Judgment Trickster Perfectly Personifies Charlotta As A Character

Charlottais often seen by fans as one of the moreannoying and frustrating characters to go up against, specifically because of how small and agile she is. With that being said, if Charlotta players really want to get under their opponent’s skin, they should buy and equip theJudgment Trickster, a small bronze blade that features both a sad and a smiling face to tease the enemy with.

The sword itself is also beautifully designed, especially near the hilt where it has been decorated with an elegant pattern, and the shape of the blade, which curves inwards multiple times to give it plenty of pointy edges to attack the opposing fighter with. It’s a creative piece of weaponry that perfectly suits a trickster like Charlotta.

Sword of Bahamut in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising

3Sword Of Bahamut - Zooey

The Sword Of Bahamut Is A Heavily-Detailed Weapon With Plenty Of Gothic Inspiration

WhileZooeystarts off with little more than a basic rusty sword and wooden shield, after just a few battles, players will be able to upgrade to theSword of Bahamut, a heavily-detailed weapon which looks far more lethal than its counterpart. While the sword itself is absolutely stunning thanks tothe dark gothic designand vampire-like wings sprouting near the bottom. The shield also looks just as incredible thanks to the small tiny cracks that look like they could burst open at any moment.

Even just having this weapon equipped when spawning into a fight instantly makes Zooey appear far more dangerous, and seeing the sword itself in action when she’s flinging it around is a joy to behold. Considering just how cheap it is, there really is no reason not to grab this incredible weapon kit when enough coins have been earned.

Contrary Sword in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising

2Contrary Sword - Percival

This Otherworldy Design Is So Unique That It Looks Like Something From A Sci-Fi Movie

Percivalhas long been considered one of the most overpowered characters in all ofGranblue Fantasy, and while he has been toned down a bit in this game, he still looks just as terrifying as ever when he’s got theContrary Swordin hand. While the game’s aesthetics and designobviously lean more into the world of fantasy, this weapon looks like something ripped straight out of a sci-fi movie, with the glowing multicolored blade and specialized hilt looking like it was all manufactured in some sort of lab.

It looks stunning, especially when Percival is using it to pull off some of his own flashy special moves mid-game, and it’s shocking that the price for it is so low considering how much effort Arc System put into designing it. Anyone looking to pick up a weapon that is a little out of the ordinary, but still oozing with style, definitely needs to check out the Contrary Sword.

Baihu Claw in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising

1Baihu Claw - Soriz

Stylish, Flashy, And Incredibly Lethal, This Is A Visually Stunning Weapon With One Hell Of A Punch

Sorizactually doesn’t start off with a weapon in the traditional sense. Instead, he relies on his fists to dish out damage, but the player is able to buy him a few new weapons that he can attach to his hands to make every punch feel even more powerful. All of his weapons admittedly look very good, but it really does feel like the developers went above and beyond to make theBaihu Clawas detailed as possible in its design.

The claw itself is designed in the shape of a white tiger whose open mouth allows its bottom fangs to peak out, causing some real damage if they manage to make contact with the enemy. Another neat detail is the golden crest that covers the top of its head, and the glowing eyes, which are enough to send a shiver down anyone’s spine. Soriz is alreadyan incredibly fun character to watch in actionbecause of his quick and deadly fighting style, but when he has this weapon equipped, it makes him look so much better.
