Call of Duty’sZombies mode is a staple of the franchisegoing back inWorld at War, and has been a key element in theBlack Opsgames ever since. More information has been revealed about the mode for the upcoming game set to release in November. It remains a four-person co-op mode that will be taking old and new players alike on a horror-filled adventure as two groups, the CIA-backed Requiem and the Soviet-led Omega Group, fight to discover the secrets of an old World War 2 bunker ravaged by time and zombies.

The game promises a narrative experience for players to enjoy with new characters to meet and strange zombies to face off against. One big announcement made byCall of Dutyis that the mode will also be cross-platform and include cross-generation play for all platforms. This falls in line with news earlier this month aboutBlack Ops Cold Warhaving cross-play for all previously-revealed modes,as well as cross-progression. Now players know they can team up with each other in the Zombies mode using different platforms, whether on a PC, PlayStation, or Xbox console.
On top of the that, Zombies mode will also havecross-generational play alongside other multiplayer game modesinBlack Ops Cold War. This will allow players to play the mode on current and next-generation consoles including the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X/S.
