Today marks the release ofBorderlands 3’s first story DLC,Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, which means that it is a very good day to be a fan of Gearbox Software’s highly-popular looter shooter. That said, the release of theBL3DLC is not the only reason to celebrate, as Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has just shared a new shift code that will grant players with three Golden Keys, and it is redeemable for an entire week.
This newBorderlands 3shift code, which expires on Thursday, December 26 at 10am CST, is as follows: 5BCBB-5SRS9-RTW9C-9JCJB-XK3X9. As with otherBL3shift codes, this one can be redeemed in-game or through Gearbox’s website, and once entered, players will find their three Golden Keys in theirBorderlands 3mailbox.

To note, there are several other shift codes that players may wish to redeem while they are entering today’s new code. These shift codes are part of an ongoingBorderlands 3Gifts of Mayhem event, which is granting players with a new piece of festive loot every day until Friday, December 20, and they will all be redeemable until June 04, 2025.
With respect to what players can receive by entering these holiday shift codes, there are currently three ECHO skins, a weapon trinket, andChristmas-themedBorderlands 3Vault Hunter skinsavailable. These cosmetics are the perfect opportunity for players that want to showoff their holiday spirit in-game, and many fans will undoubtedly want to equip them before they begin theBorderlands 3DLC later today.
Additionally, players can currently redeem a shift code to obtain afreeBorderlands 3legendary assault rifle, the Juliet’s Dazzle. This assault rife is typically only found by activating Mayhem Mode 4 and farming the Valkyrie Squad or Aurelia, and many players will thus be happy to be able to earn it by simply entering a code.
Between free legendary weapons, holiday cosmetics, Golden Keys, and new story DLC, Gearbox is certainly giving fans a number of reasons to return toBorderlands 3for Christmas. Additionally, there are still two more Gifts of Mayhem shift codes to come, and it is possible that the developer has something truly special planned for those.
