AlthoughCall of Duty Vanguardhas only been out for a few weeks at this point, Sledgehammer Games has continued to update the experience for players through numerous patches. Various tweaks to the experience have already been made or are on the way, such as nerfs for the game’s overpowered shotguns. Another new update arrived last week, though this one was as a result ofActivision apologizing for offensive and insensitive images of the Quranmaking it into the game.
As a live service title,Call of Duty Vanguardplayers should expect constant updates, similar to whatModern WarfareandBlack Ops Cold Wardid before it. Both Warzone and the Multiplayer experience are constantly refreshed with new in-game store items, fixes for common issues, as well as seasonal updates. After teasing thereturn of Shipment in the first roadmap forCall of Duty Vanguard, the fan favorite map has finally made its return.

Shipment has an extensive history in theCall of Dutyfranchise, typically evolving based on the theme of the game it’s being included in. ForCall of Duty Vanguard, the same is true as the layout is the same that veteran players remember, but the visual style has been completely updated to be breakable wooden crates on a beach-like setting. The updated map also features a hanging container on a crane above the left side of the map. There appears to be a bit of verticality this time, with many crates being open and climbable.
Outside of the remastered version of Shipment, the update also addresses a number of issues players have been experiencing. Some PlayStation 5 players were running into a problem where they were unable to startCall of Duty Vanguardif they had less than 40 GB of hard drive space available. Thankfully, this problem has been resolved with this update.
In addition to other bug fixes, the update also tacklesCall of DutyZombies specific problems including fixing a bug that prevented the scoreboard from appearing for a player who has died or exfiltrated. One of the biggest issues some Zombies players were experiencing was an issue with Objectives not starting properly, which ultimately prevented progression. Thankfully, players should no longer experience this problem, which should help the game mode overall though with theamount of issues still plaguing Zombies, there’s still a fair bit of work to do.
