Capcomseems to have acknowledged this by announcing a massive sale on its catalog of games on both 3DS and Switch. This sale includes discounts of up to 90% on prominent 3DS games such asMonster Hunter 3and4 Ultimate,Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, and the 3DS port ofSuper Street Fighter 4. A major highlight of this sale is that nearly everyAce Attorneygame released on the 3DS is currently on sale for $3 each. Although this sale will last until March 29, the 3DS eShop closes on March 27, so these 3DS discounts will only be available until then.

This sale also extends to a number of digital Nintendo Switch games including strong discounts of up to 60% on the first threeDevil May Crygames, compilations likeMega Man X Legacy Collection, and multipleMonster Huntertitles including the Deluxe Kit forMonster Hunter Rise. One standout is the Switch port of the originalResident Evil 4which is currently 50% off, an interesting inclusion as theResident Evil 4remake is expected to get a demo today.

Many gamers have hoped that with the 3DS and Wii U eShops closing that more publishers and developers would discount their games one last time. Yacht Club Games did this by offering amajor discount onShovel Knight: Treasure Trovefor the 3DS, and Capcom has followed suit by giving 3DS owners one last chance to get digital games they may have missed out on. With the 3DS just a few weeks away from no longer having an eShop, fans will hopefully get more discounts to send the system off.
