Christopher Belmontis one of the more obscure Belmont clan members, having beenthe star of two Game Boy gamesknown asCastlevania: The AdventureandCastlevania: Belmont’s Revenge. Christopher was the second Belmont to defeat the Dark Lord Dracula in his first resurrection, one hundred years after his first defeat.

Christopher Belmont, much like his fellow clan members, used the whip and an array of sub-weapons as his main weapons. However, he was also capable of shooting a fireball out from his whip, a skill few of his descendants were able to use themselves. He is also one of the only Belmonts who could say they destroyed Dracula twice.

The First Belmont To Fight Dracula

Leon Belmontis the oldest known member of the Belmont clanin the originalCastlevaniatimeline, having lived sometime in the 11th century. He appears inCastlevania: Lament of Innocence, a story where the original identity of Dracula is revealed to be Leon’s good friend Mathias Cronqvist, and the Vampire Killer whip was created using the soul of Leon’s fiancée.

As he was originally a knight and not a vampire hunter, Leon lacked the tools necessary for vampire hunting, including the Vampire Killer, which would only be made during the game’s story. This is made up by Leon’s use of a magical gauntlet, a mysterious object that gave him the ability to control magical artifacts.

7Trevor Belmont

Trevor Belmont’s main weapons are the ancestral whip Vampire Killer and the many sub-weapons that are iconic to the Belmont clan. While Trevor did not defeat Dracula alone, there’s no doubt that his feat of being the first to defeat Dracula is quite incredible.

6Simon Belmont

The Original Belmont The World Saw

The hero that started theCastlevaniagames,Simon Belmont,is the classic archetype of the Belmont hero. Though he was far from the first Belmont to fight and defeat Dracula, Simon remains one of the most well-known Belmonts, making him an iconic figure of the franchise. Like his ancestor Christopher, Simon Belmont has the rare distinction of havingfought and defeated Dracula twice.

Simon Belmont established the whip-swinging, item-tossing fighting style that would become distinctive of the Belmont family. While he lacks any other abilities, his physical strength, skills with the Vampire Killer whip, and bravery make him one of the mightiest members of the vampire-hunting clan.

5Juste Belmont

The Belmont Who Never Fought Dracula

InCastlevania: Harmony Of Dissonance,Juste Belmontlived during a time when his family was regaled as the ones who defeated Dracula. Unlike his fellow clan members, Juste never got a chance to fight against the true Dracula, making him one of the few Belmonts not to do so.

Part of what makes theconstant change in protagonistsso effective is the change in abilities and powers. Juste inherited magical powers from his ancestor Sypha Belnades, allowing him stronger control over magic. The Son Of Dracula

Trevor would rename himself Alucard, which is Dracula backward.

It is unclear how powerful Alucard is, but it is shown that he can go toe-to-toe with Dracula for the most part, thanks to sharing his father’s gifts. This is why he became the perfect host for Satan in the final battle, but even the combined powers of Alucard and Satan proved to be not enough to defeat Dracula.
