NewDaredevil: Born Againdetails about Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin may have been revealed due to a possible leak.
Netflix’sDaredevilseries was a huge success, and fans were thrilled to see Charlie Cox’s return inSpider-Man: No Way Homeand appear inShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Most fans are excited about the new series coming to Disney Plus. Still, recent details about the upcoming show revealed that Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson andDeborah Ann Woll’s Karen Pagewill not return, which has upset many fans of the original Netflix series. New details suggest further changes to the original series.
In a copyright page first found byScarlet Witch Updateson X, it was revealed that theDaredevil: Born Againplot will focus on “longtime rivals Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) try to leave behind their darker alter-egos to serve the people of New York only to have their pasts catch up to them.” Both characters will seemingly try to turn over a new leaf and help out the city withoutusing Daredevil or Kingpin.
In a scoop byCanWeGetSomeToast, it was revealed that there will even be some episodes where Matt Murdock does not suit up as Daredevil. Additionally, the same copyright page lists actors for the series. There are a few surprises, including Genneya Walton portraying Ben Urich’s niece BB, Vanessa Fisk being portrayed by Sandrine Holt instead of Ayelet Zurer, and Michael Gandolfini playing Daniel Blade, who is not from the comics. According to CanWeGetSomeToast, Daniel Blade will beMayor Fisk’s Director of Communications, but there might be more to the role.
Some fans will not be happy about Daredevil’s lack of screen time in some episodes. Based on the possible synopsis, if there are episodes where Matt Murdock does not suit up, it will most likely happen in the first few episodes when he and Wilson Fisk are still struggling with their new life. However, some episodes may focus entirely on Matt Murdock in the courtroom and his law office.
This could be a compelling storyline and give fans more super-powered courtroom drama that differs from the more comedy-driven scenes that fans saw inShe-Hulk. AlthoughDaredevil: Born Againlooks to diverge from the Netflix series, it seems like it could still be a great MCU iteration of the character.
