PVP is one of the staples that hold anyDark Soulsgame together. Of course, some players may not be aware of how the PVP works inDark Souls 3. Fortunately, Ringfinger Leonhard takes care of that. This NPC appears in Firelink Shrine after players reach the second bonfire in the High Wall of Lothric.

Players can find him dressed in dark attire and a mask near the top throne. He takes care of introducing players to the PVP elements of the game, by handing players some Cracked Red Eye Orbs and sending them on their way to invade other players' worlds. The player will face plenty of challenges there — here’s how to face them.
Invade Or Be Smart
The truth of the matter is, some players are better than others at PVP inDark Souls. Nevertheless, Leonhard tasks players with obtaining aPale Tongue. This can be done byinvading another worldand successfully killing the Host of Embers.
Players can also obtain one by reaching theUndead Settlement.The Pale Tongue in this area can be found on a hanging body where they fight the Fire Demon with Siegward. Collect the Pale Tongue, and either defeat the Curse-Rotted Greatwood boss or light the Cliff-Underside bonfire. Afterward, Leonhard will give players theLift Chamber Key.
Fight A Darkwraith
Darkwraiths are infamous for being an annoying enemy in the originalDark Souls.They are back inDark Souls 3,and the first one players can find is in the High Wall of Lothric. Head to theTower on the Wall bonfire and go to the bottom floor of the tower.

This is also the area where players can find Greirat. Open the locked door with the Lift Chamber Key and take the elevator down to find the Darkwraith waiting below. Defeat the Darkwraith to get the Red Eye Orb, then return to Leonhard and exhaust his dialogue.
Find Rosaria’s Bedchamber
Now that players have some experience, they will be ready to head to the Cathedral of the Deep. Head to the rooftop, cross the scaffolding and drop down some ledges to reachRosaria’s Bedchamber. Enter the area (be sure to light the bonfire inside) and talk to Rosaria.Offer a Pale Tongue to her.Be careful not to rank up in the covenant until the next step of the quest.
Next, speak to Leonhard in Rosaria’s Bedchamber. He will be standing by the door.
Retrieve The Black Eye Orb & Fight Leonhard
After players reach the Profaned Capital bonfire, they canwarp back to Rosaria’s Bedchamberto discover that Rosaria is dead. Grab the Black Eye Orb from the ground in front of her corpse. Players will now need to progress a little further into the game and defeat Aldrich.
Afterwards, head up to Gwynevere’s Bedchamber by using the lift, where players will be prompted to use the Black Eye Orb. Doing so will allow them toinvade Leonhard.Kill him to receive the Silver Mask, the Soul of Rosaria, and the Crescent Moon Sword.
