Destiny 2has always been a diverse playground for powerful and unique weaponry. The exotic weapons are where the variety really shows, though the legendary weapons all have a proper time and place in the game as well. With as many powerful, unique, and just overall fun weapons thatDestiny 2has, it would be great to see some of the weapons in other games, withCall of Duty’s Zombies modes being a particularly exciting option.
Call of Duty’s many different Zombies game modes throughout the franchise aren’t short on weapons, but it never hurts to dream. Since practically all weapons in Zombies can be Pack-A-Punched and upgraded to enable a few different effects, including elemental damage types, there’s already a ton of variety in weaponry. Mixing in the fewWonder Weapons throughout the Zombies game modes, there’s already nearly a gun for every occasion. With all this in mind, the best weapons that would make the most of a crossover betweenDestiny 2andCall of Dutyare weapons that feel truly different because of their unique projectiles or invaluable side effects.

Anarchy Exotic Grenade Launcher
The Anarchy is a great choice for zoning enemies inDestiny 2, which universally translates to all ofCall of Duty’s different Zombies modes throughout the franchise. Having the right weapon in Zombies is equally important to player movements that group up zombies into manageable hordes at higher rounds. The Anarchy may not be one ofthe best grenade launchers inDestiny 2, though it’s one of the few in class that is capable of lingering damage. What makes the Anarchy’s lingering projectiles so powerful is that projectiles in the proximity of each other will connect via tethers that constantly emit Arc damage for their duration.
Heartshadow Exotic Sword
WhileDestiny 2' glaives would make for a fun crossover, there are already weapons in Zombies that have identical performances to glaives. The staves introduced in the Origins map are similar toDestiny 2’s ranged-melee hybrid glaives with improved elemental effects, just without the ability to block incoming damage. Of all the melee weapons that would be a worthy addition toCall of DutyZombies, the Heartshadow exotic swordwould put its exotic trait to good use. This sword allows players to turn invisible and grants increased damage while invisible. Being able to go invisible in Zombies with Zombie Blood is already a great way to resituate among hordes of zombies, or more importantly, revive other players in the eye of a storm of zombies. As such, this sword would be a natural fit.
Jotunn Exotic Fusion Rifle
The Jotunn is an infamous weapon and one ofthe best fusion rifles inDestiny 2, because it combines high-impact damage with a lingering damage pool at the target of the projectiles. InCall of DutyZombies-terms, the Jotunn is effectively an impact grenade mixed with a molotov grenade aftereffect. Jotunn projectiles also track targets, so all around this weapon has some of the best passive effects inDestiny 2, and with its high damage output, it can melt high-value targets and hordes of enemies indifferently.
Monte Carlo Exotic Auto Rifle
While the performance of the Monte Carlo alone falls short of some ofDestiny 2’s best auto rifles, the exotic perks are what make it a good weapon for ability-heavy playstyles. Every shot landed with the Monte Carlo replenishes portions of the user’s melee ability, while kills with the weapon can periodically grant a full refund for the ability. Having access to infinitely replenishing melee throwables/tactical gadgets in Zombies via something as menial as landing shots would make for a ridiculously fun loadout.

No Time To Explain Exotic Pulse Rifle
The No Time To Explain was way ahead of the change toDestiny 2which made primary weapon ammo infinite, due to one of the weapon’s exotic perks. No Time To explain refunds critical hits back into the magazine in a 1:1 ratio, and on top of that, enough critical hits will summon a portal from an alternate timeline that shoots the weapon alongside the player. This weapon is one ofDestiny 2’s best pulse riflesand would be an amazing option to have inCall of DutyZombies since it is extremely efficient at conserving ammo. With the double damage offered by the alternate timeline portal, it can be a great tool for taking down tanky enemies.
Sleep Simulant Exotic Linear Fusion Rifle
The Sleeper Simulantprojectiles are immediately recognizable both by sound and visuals, and the power behind every shot is hard to compete with for heavy weapons. This linear fusion rifle shoots a single beam of energy that splits into multiple beams on contact which then continue to bounce around a few times and deal damage. In the hands of an experienced user, this weapon’s reflected secondary beams can be seriously deadly against crowds of enemies. Since grouping enemies together is such a common practice in Zombies, this weapon would be great at clearing crowds, especially in indoor areas where it’s easier to manipulate the bouncing beams.
Wave Frame Legendary Grenade Launchers
Many ofDestiny 2’s exotic and legendary grenade launchers would be fun to have inCall of DutyZombies, but one frame type, in particular, would be more useful than others. Given how zombies group up in more of a linear cluster when players are running around,Destiny 2’s wave frame grenade launcherswould be extremely efficient in taking on zombies in this orientation. The wave frame on grenade launchers modifies the projectiles to produce a wave of energy on the ground that travels in a forward direction, instead of a typical, controlled explosion. There are a variety of wave frame grenade launchers inDestiny 2and despite not being exotic weapons, any wave frame grenade launcher would still be worthy of a Zombies crossover.
Destiny 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
