With November finally here and the Ferstival of the Lost now ended,Destiny 2finds itself entering a sort of calm before the storm. Season of the Lost content has effectively been put on hold due to the longer than expected length of the season, so players are likely looking at November as a sort of catch up month. While Bungie still has content planned, much of it revolves around smaller events like Iron Banner.

However, once December hits, things may be shifting back into gear for a little while. The holiday-inspired event Dawning is likely going to return in December, though for most players, Bungie’s 30th Anniversary celebration is the next big moment coming forDestiny 2. With a mix of free and paid content, players will have the opportunity to obtain gear based on Bungie’s franchises as well as entering a new dungeon holding thereturn of the exotic rocket launcher Gjallarhorn.

Once thing that never changes is the weekend exotic gear merchant Xur, who has once again made his return toDestiny 2. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cypher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic gear he’s brought for the weekend of July 24, 2025.

Where is Xur?

This weekend,Destiny 2players can find Xur inside of the EDZ.

Fast travel to the Winding Cove zone and immediately head towards the back where the Fallen typically patrol. Climb the cliffs back here to find Xur standing on a ledge not too far from a crashed ship

Class Armor and Exotic Cypher

In Season of the Lost, Xur’s role has expanded as the exotic merchant has weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary toacquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cypher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clanmates or finishing more challenging activities.

With Season 15, Xur is now selling even more gear outside of his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer. Better yet, the stat rolls are pretty solid on the Black Armor gear for this week.

Exotic Armor

Crown of Tempests - Warlock helmet

For Warlocks that like to get their Emperor Palpatine on, the Crown of Tempests remainsone of the best exotics for Stormtrance. It remains a top option thanks to the exotic perk Conduction Tines. With this item, any arc ability kills increases the recharge rate of Arc abilities and extends the duration of Stormtrance.

Destiny 2 Prometheus Lens

This is an item that all Warlocks should have as it’s one of best exotics to use with Stormcaller. The ability to quickly regenerate abilities is a huge boon for Warlocks, making this item a must own. Needless to say, wearing this item while running top tree Stormcaller remains incredibly strong in both PvE and PvP situations, though it also works for the bottom tree as well. The stat roll this week is really solid, espectially for the stats which Warlocks covet the most.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

Shinobu’s Vow - Hunter gauntlets

For those who missed it back in September, Shinobu’s Vow is back in stock for Hunters. New Tricks is the Intrinsic Perk on this armor, essentially givingArcstriders an extra skip grenade(as long as that is selected as the grenade type). In addition, the perk improves the grenade and any damage done to enemies will return a bit of grenade energy.

Having an extra grenade is always a good thing regardless of the activity, though this one has very specific requirements and won’t appeal to every Hunters. This can be a powerful tool for Arcstriders who have Skip grenades equipped, though they’d have to opt not to use the Raiden Flux exotic, which increases the damage and duration of the Arcstrider super. Whether that trade off is worth it is up to the player. There are certainly better options out there, but if used correctly, this item can ensure that skip grenade players always have something to throw. For those wondering, the roll is actually pretty good this week with extremely high recovery and solid Discipline, Recovery, and Intellect.

Lion Rampant - Titan leg armor

Titans who need a bit of mobility and stability when making tricky jumps will want these rocket boots. Similar to the St0mp-EEZ for Hunters, Lion Rampant’s come with the perk Jump Jets which provides added maneuverability in the air and enables accurate hipfire while players are in the air during Lift. Basically, these boosts will help make Lift Titans jump for twice as long.

Naturally, these boots are great for more platforming based activities typically involved in Dungeons, Raids, ormissions like Harbingerto name a few. Outside of that, a players mileage will vary as they don’t offer a significant boost to combat boost like other Titan exotics. The stats are solid, if a bit unremarkable this week.

Exotic Weapon

Theonce fabled Prometheus Lensis back with Xur this week. Prismatic Inferno is its intrinsic perk which makes the weapon fire a Solar beam and generate a damaging heat field that grows while the weapon continues to fire. Its other unique perk is Flame Refraction which returns a fraction of the ammo used to the magazine from reserves, extending the beam’s duration.

While it’s no where near as strong as it was when it first arrived to the game, Prometheus Lens isn’t picked all that much as the go to exotic for PvP matches, but it remains a viable choice and is still fun to use in most PvE style game modes.
