With the release ofDisgaea 6: Defiance of Destinyset for August 01, 2025, NIS America has revealed the Unrelenting and Limited editions of the game. Over the years, theDisgaeaseries has become a staple of the strategy RPG genre with its focus on level grinding and unique stat growth mechanics. Featuring 3D visuals for the first time in the series, fans are excited to experience a new adventure on the Nintendo Switch.
There are currently two different special editions ofDisgaea 6: Defiance of Destinyavailable for pre-order from NIS America. The physical edition ofDisgaea 6: Defiance of Destinyis called the Unrelenting Edition and can be found at select retailers. The Limited edition ofDisgaea 6: Defiance of Destinyis available exclusively on NIS America and features a number of extra bonuses.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny Unrelenting Edition
The default physical retail copy forDisgaea 6: Defiance of Destinyis called the Unrelenting Editionand includes a few pre-order bonuses. Fans who pre-order the Unrelenting Edition will receive a digital download code for the “Defiance of Dissonance” soundtrack, a mini art book titled “Behind the Seams” and a reversible cover sheet for the game case. The Unrelenting Edition ofDisgaea 6: Defiance of Destinywill cost $59.99 USD ($79.99 CAD).
It is currently available to be pre-ordered atAmazon, Best Buy, GameStop/EB Games, and other select retailers.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny Limited Edition
On the other hand,fans ofDisgaea 6: Defiance of Destinylooking for more pre-order bonusescan opt for the Limited Edition. This exclusive edition includes upgraded items from the Unrelenting Edition including a physical version of the “Defiance of Dissonance” soundtrack on CD, a hardcover edition of the “Behind The Seams” art book, and a steelbook for the game. A number of unique bonuses are also available in the Limited Edition including the “Stitched Together” pin set featuring Zed, Bieko, and Cerberus, a 28" x 40" “Roll Call” cloth poster, and a collector’s box.
The Limited Edition ofDisgaea 6: Defiance of Destinyis available exclusively on the NIS America site for the North American and European regions and costs $99.99 USD or £74.99. The European pre-order site forDisgaea 6: Defiance of Destinymentions that the Unrelenting Edition will be inside the Limited Edition so this will likely be the case for American pre-orders as well though it isn’t clarified on the American site.
Digital Pre-order Bonuses and Switch Exclusivity
Currently,Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destinydoesn’t offer any digital pre-order bonusesand it isn’t up for pre-order yet on the Nintendo eShop. Based on the release ofDisgaea 5,pre-order bonuses might be limited since the only bonus at launch was a bunny suit DLC for Seraphine when players ordered from GameStop. Regardless, the DLC eventually made its way to the complete edition ofDisgaea 5so players shouldn’t worry too much about missing out.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destinyseems to be a Nintendo Switch exclusive for now so it’s unlikely that players will receive bonuses like the digital artbook fromthe Steam edition ofDisgaea 5 Complete.WhileDisgaea 6: Defiance of Destinywas launched on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan, its worldwide release is limited to the Nintendo Switch and there are no signs of a PS4 release or PC port. Fans may see other pre-order bonuses down the line when a complete edition is released forDisgaea 6: Defiance of Destinybut for now, they will have to decide between the Unrelenting and Limited editions.
