Elden Ringis one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, merging theDark Soulsformula with an open-world setting. Developer From Software has also confirmed that players will be able to take onextremely difficult optional bosses that are hidden in the world ofElden Ring.
Fans got to play asizeable portion ofElden Ringduring the Closed Network Testback in November. The Network Test was seemingly a huge success, and only increased the hype for the game. WhileElden Ringcomes out on PC and consoles, the Closed Network Test was only available to console users. Many fans have been wondering about howElden Ringwill perform on their PCs, but From Software had not detailed any system requirements until today.

The system requirements forElden Ringwere listed on its Steam page for a short duration, but have now been removed. It only listed the minimum requirements, and the recommended section just showed “to be determined.” According to the removed list,Elden Ringwill need aNvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or an AMD Radeon RX 580at the minimum. For CPU, players would want to have at least an Intel Core i5-8400 or an AMD Ryzen 3 3300X. It needs a minimum of 12 GB of RAM and will take around 60 GB of storage space.
The previously listed minimum system requirements forElden Ringare as follows:
The GTX 1060 came out over 5 years ago, and it currently acts as the baseline for modern games. It’s interesting to note that the list mentioned the 3 GB variant, instead of the 6 GB version of the card. 60 GB for storage is fairly common for games these days, although, the PS5 version ofElden Ringwill reportedly take 80 GB of space. Given the relatively low amount of default space and the fact thatHorizon Forbidden Westalso needs around 90 GB, PS5 owners should consider adding a second SSD to their consoles.
It is strange that the Steam page only listed the minimum requirements ofElden Ring, and the recommended section was left blank. Some fans online thought that the minimum specs were a bit too high, and they believed that the lists got mixed up somehow. It’s no surprise that the requirements got removed, and FromSoftware will perhaps reveal the full set later today.
Most games released byFromSoftware do not appear to be graphically demanding, but can sometimes suffer from poor optimization. Fans can hope to get a clearer picture ofElden Ring’s performance on PC, as well as consoles, sometime before launch.
Elden Ringis set to release on February 25 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
