Mediatonic first releasedFall Guysin 2020, and the game has undergone many changes since then, with Season 4 adding a huge new feature fromFortnitewhen it launches soon. Similar to theUltimate Knockouttitle,Fortnitehad humble beginnings before blowing up into what it is today, and the aforementionedFall GuysSeason 4 feature could help the Mediatonic game expand its player base.

Because Mediatonic’s parent company was acquired by Epic Games in 2021,Fall Guyshas seen a lot of quality-of-life improvements asRocket Leaguehad before it with the Psyonix acquisition. Excluding some issues with cheaters in the early days,Fall Guyssaw a lot of success from being a PlayStation Plus freebie and streamers like TimTheTatman’s dedication to the game in order to achieve a crown. As more seasons were rolled out to the Mediatonic game, a plethora of content was introduced, from new maps and battle passes full of cosmetics tocollaborations with franchises likeDoom,Halo,SpongeBob SquarePants, and more. However, Season 4 could top them all.

Fall GuysSeason 4 starts on May 10, and like other seasons, it offers cosmetics, and more, but it’s also bringing a highly anticipated Creative mode to theUltimate Knockout.Fall Guysfans can use this Creative mode in order to make their dream obstacle course levels and these can be shared with others with a share code that will bring others to their custom lobbies. According to Mediatonic, players will have to choose aFall Guysthemebefore they’re able to choose obstacles which may suggest that certain pieces are locked to specific themes to prevent some potential problems with things that could cause round-breaking with obstacles that negate each other.

Players aren’t the only people that will be making maps with the newFall GuysCreative feature as Mediatonic has confirmed that 50 new maps from the team using these tools will roll out throughout Season 4. Similar to games such asFortnite,Minecraft, andNo Man’s Sky, the addition of the Creative mode may helpFall Guysgarner a broader audience as it continues to evolve. ManyFortnitecreative mapshave garnered tons of attention for how incredibly built they are, and someFall Guysplayers may see the same thing after the toolkit is released on May 10.

As many games withlevel editors likeHalo InfiniteandFortnitealso had to launch without the robust feature,Fall GuysCreative mode likely required a lot of development resources even with the potential assistance from Epic Games. Because there have been bugs inFortniteCreative mode,Fall Guysmay see some issues with the launch of its own custom builder that will likely get fixed through a future patch.

Fall Guysis available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
