InFallout 76,mutations offer great boosts that do everything from increasing the player’s damage output to boosting a player’s intelligence. While it’s possible toget mutations when taking radiation damage, the most efficient way to gain mutations is through the use of serums.

Serums are costly items. Not only does it cost a lot to learn how to craft them, but they also require very rare materials to craft. While serums are an expensive investment, they are always more than worth it. When it comes to serums, the pros massively outweigh the cons. This guide will help players learn how to craft their own mutation serums.

How To Craft Serums

Purchase The Plans

to purchase serums, you’ll need access tothe Whitespring Bunker. To access the Whitespring Bunker, you will need to complete the quest, Bunker Buster.Once you’ve gained access to the Whitespring Bunker, make your way to the Science Wing. Here, you’ll see a Genetics lab. Inside this lab, you’ll be able to purchase plans to make serums.

Each serum requires you to learn a different plan. While the prices vary depending on what perks and Chems you are using, they will be around the 18k mark.Players can get the price down to around 17.5K by using perks like Hard Bargain, but they are still very costly.

Since the player can hold up to 40K Caps, it’s only possible to purchase two serums with max Caps. Learning all the serum plans takes a long time and lots of Caps.

One thing that lots of players do is select a popular serum like the marsupial serum and buy that plan. Then, they craft as many as they can at their CAMP andsell them in their vending machinesfor between 500 and 700 Caps per serum. This helps to earn back Caps to buy more serum plans.

Once you’ve learned the plan, you can then craft the serum at a Chemistry Station.Serums are expensive to craft. Each one requires different materials, and they will all require one type of flux. Flux is a very rare and expensive material that can be obtained by harvesting mutated flora and by completing nuked events like Scorched Earth.
