The new trailer forF9: The Fast Sagahas been released and the family is back together in the ninth installment in the extremely popularFast and Furiousfranchise. The members are looking ready to get out of their hiatus and head towards their next “wild mission”, with a new threat on the block.
The trailer is loaded withover-the-top stuntsthat fans of the franchise love, multiple crashes, witty dialogue, and flying cars. Similar to the first trailer of the film, which was released in January 2020, theF9members are seen in the middle of some family drama when Dom’s brother Jakob returns and is seen causing trouble.

The official Twitter account for the film’s franchiseteased the release of the trailer on Tuesday, by sharing several animated character posters, featuring some of the fans’ favorite members of theFast and Furiousfamily, including Diesel’s Dominic Toretto, Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty Ortiz, Tyrese Gibson’s Roman Pearce, Chris Bridges’ Tej Parker, Jordana Brewster’s Mia Toretto, Nathalie Emmanuel’s Megan Ramsey, and Sung Kang’s Han Lue. And of course, joining the cast is John Cena’s Jakob Toretto.
F9will see Charlize Theron’s Cypher return, who was the main villain in the eighth installment in the franchiseThe Fate of the Furious. She will be seen pitting the two brothers against each other, urging Jakob to take down Dom’s crew. The film will also see Dom’s sister, Mia, return after an absence in the previous movie. Additionally, another fan-favorite character, Han, is seemingly being resurrected, after his character was believed dead inFast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, the third installment in the franchise. It is still a mystery how the character is alive, but it would be a reunion worth watching.
F9: The Fast Sagahasfaced several delaysdue to the pandemic. While the film was originally meant to release on July 01, 2025, the premiere was pushed back by a year with a new release date of April 2021 set for its arrival. But, this wasn’t the only delay, as the film waslater moved to a Mayrelease, and has now settled for a July 07, 2025 premiere.Justin Lin marks his return to the franchise as director ofF9: The Fast Saga. He has previously directed 2006’sThe Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, 2009’sFast and Furious 4, 2011’sFast Five, and 2013’sFast and Furious 6.
