Although many Ubisoft fans continue to playFar Cry 5through its story, DLC, and Arcade level creator, the developer seems intent on bringing more eyes toFar Cry 6this week.Ubisoft has confirmed thatFar Cry 6will be free to play for a few days this week, providing players a chance to try the game before potentially purchasing it while the current sale continues. TheFar Cry 6festivities are part of video games' celebrations for Valentine’s Day, with othergames likePokemon Scarlet and Violet,Final Fantasy 14, andWorld of Warcraftholding their own unique events. Ubisoft has confirmed thatFar Cry 6co-opwill be accessible during this free trial period, and any progress that players make in the first few hours of the game will carry forward upon unlocking the full game. This free version ofFar Cry 6will be available from February 16 until February 20, and it differs from the normally available trial because it isn’t limited to just the first island of the game, freeing things up for cooperative and solo players alike.
Coinciding with the temporary price-free copies ofFar Cry 6, Ubisoft has also reduced the cost of all thingsFar Cry 6for anyone that decides the game is for them as a result of trying the trial. All editions ofFar Cry 6, including theinaccurately named Game of the Year editionare up to 70% off until the conclusion of the cooperatively-focused event. Both the Game of the Year upgrade forFar Cry 6and its season pass are 50% off for the Valentine’s Day festivities, as is the expansion, Lost Between Worlds, which was released in December.

BecauseFar Cry 6requires over 60GB of storage space depending on the platform, it may take several minutes to download which may cut into the four days that players have to try the Ubisoft FPS.
