With the right build, Jean has the potential of being one of the most useful characters inGenshin Impact.Here’s how to best exploit her attacks to make her double as a support healer and damage dealer using Artifact builds.
Jean is one ofGenshin Impact’s rare five-star characters. Similar to the player character, she’sa wielder of Anemo and uses a sword in combat. Many players have come forward claiming that she’s a simple support character like her sister Barbara, who can heal party members with both basic attacks and Elemental Bursts. While this is true, the wonderful aspect of adding Jean to a team is how versatile she is. Even without Constellation perks, she has the potential of both dealing heavy damage whilst healing party members for large chunks of health with each blow.

Updated on July 07, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah:When it comes to building Jean, there are a few routes players can take. Typically, Travelers will choose the Hybrid/Sub-DPS build as this will enhance both Jean’s damage and healing.
Another popular build is the “Yeet” Jean. This is when players usethe Dandelion Knight to throw enemies in the air, dealing massive fall damage every 6s. However, even though jack-of-all-trades Jean makes a versatile unit, the Acting Grand Master can perform a lot better with a focused build. Therefore, this article has been updated withJean’s main DPS and healer build in Genshin Impact.
Best Build For Main DPS Jean in Genshin Impact
For DPS build, Jean will focus on enhancing her attack and Critical Stats. However, do note that this build may not be viable for Sub-DPS Jean.

Before Pale Flame was released, Gladiator’s Finale was pretty much theobvious choice for main DPS Jean. But now, 50% Physical DMG Bonus is far too high to miss.
Best Weapon For Main DPS Jean
Of course, for an offensive build, 5-star weapons are easily the best. Aquila Favonia has a Physical DMG Bonus sub-stat, while Primordial Jade Cutter and Mistsplitter Reforged offer Critical stat.
Best Build For Healer Jean in Genshin Impact
Jean’sWind Companionability is one of the passive talentsthat makes her a unique character. Thanks to this, her regular attack has a 50% chance to regenerate health equal to 15% of her attack to all party members.
This means without utilizing any Elemental abilities, Jean is already healing her party with each basic attack. The higher her attack is, the more she will heal the team with each hit.
However, for a healer build, players wouldn’t want Jean to take too much field time. Instead, they canfocus on her Elemental Burst for the job.
Jean’s Dandelion Breeze abilityis what makes her such a powerful addition tothe player’sGenshin Impactteam. This swirling wind covers a large area and will instantly restore a large amount of health for all party members including Jean herself. Similar to the Wind Companion ability, the amount of health that is restored is proportional to Jean’s attack stats.
This ability also acts as acleanser, able to remove Elemental debuff on a character.
Initially, Maiden Beloved is the obvious go-to for healer Jean. But, with Ocean-Hued Clam’s release inGenshin Impact2.3, Jean can now heal while dealing off-field damage at the same time.
Best Weapon For Healer Jean
Since Travelers will want to rely on Jean’s Elemental Burst to heal, swords that have Energy Recharge substat will perform better than offensive ones like Aquila Favonia. This is also why Festering Desire could outperform The Flute with its attack% sub-stat.
