InGenshin Impact2.2, travelers will come across a Boatman in Tsurumi Island. The Boatman is used in a lot of mythology as a representation of crossing over into the afterlife. InGenshin Impact, it is no different. The people of Tsurumi Island vanished millennia ago. However, many of them haven’t been able to cross over yet.

This is why the Boatman is hanging around in Tsurumi. To find the Boatman, players must first finish theThrough the Mistsquestline. This quest is time-gated, and it takes four real-life days to complete it.
Boatman Ghost Location In Genshin Impact
TheBoatman can be foundsoutheast of Shirikoro Peak. From the Teleport Waypoint, players must glide down to the circular ruin. Players can see this ruin from their world map. The Boatman is a ghost-like being that is half invisible and floating.
When talking to the Boatman, it will ask the travelers if they wish to board the boat. However, it will immediately notice that it is not yet the time for the travelers to cross. Then, it will start grumbling about how the spirits on the island refuse to cross over.

This opens asecret quest where players have to help nine spirits in Tsurumi Island to move on. The ghosts are spread around the island, and most of their quests involve the Chirai Shrine. Here is the list of names:
Players might notice that these names are a little odd. This is because the name of things in Tsurumi Island isbased on the Ishine Script.

After talking to any of the island’s ghosts (including Boatman itself), players will earn the White’s Illusion achievement. This achievement yields five Primogems. White’s illusion is likely a reference to an optical illusion. It’s an occurrence that causes different perceptions of color due to different brightness.
Players who have been paying great attention will notice that some of these ghosts are previously seen in the loopingevent of Tsurumi Island’s cataclysm. When the Thunderbird destroys the island, she swears that the island will face the same destruction over and over again until she hears Ruu’s song once more. This is why this hidden quest is only doable after the traveler and Ruu break the unending loop of the island.

Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
