A newGenshin Impactleak has revealed more details about a new character who is expected to join the roster in the upcoming months. The game keeps expanding its list of playable characters every couple of weeks with the Pyro user Dehya being the most recent addition in the ongoing update 3.5.
The second part ofGenshin Impactversion 3.5 will also add another character, the Cryo user Mika, who will appear alongside the two five-star characters, Shenhe and Ayaka. Even though Mika has not even arrived yet, multiple leaks have already given more information about a new character who will apparently be released during update 3.7.

Over the last couple of weeks, numerous rumors have been hinting at a new Geo character named Momoka who was previously rumored to have a five-star rarity. However, new information from credible leakers like Team China has revealed that she’s actually called Kirara and Momoka was just a name mentioned in the leaked files. Players have found a way to confirm the new name byusing Wanderer’s rename mechanic. At the end of one of Sumeru’s Archon Quests, players have the option to give a nickname to Wanderer and HoYoverse confirmed that he cannot be named by any pre-existing or future character. While the quest accepted Momoka as a nickname, it actually refused the name Kirara which led many players to believe that this will be her final name.
Recent leaks have already revealed the new character’s modelwhich includes a lot of cat-like features. However, her final version could be a bit different since the model art was apparently very old. Another credible leaker named SaveYourPrimos has also debunked the previous rumors about the character’s element and rarity.
Instead of being a five-star character, Kirara will actually have a lower four-star rarity. This means that update 3.7 could still introduce a new five-star to the roster alongside her. SaveYourPrimos also revealed that the new character will have the ability to use the Dendro element which came as a surprise to many fans as the game already confirmed two new characters that use this element forGenshin Impactupdate 3.6.
The game officially announced that Baizhu and Kavehwill arrive in the upcoming update, but they are expected to be spread over the two banner cycles, just like Dehya and Mika. Baizhu will arrive in the first banner cycle which should drop around April 17, at least according to HoYoverse’s usual update schedule.
