A newGenshin Impactrumor has revealed which two characters are next in line to receive new outfits. Even though cosmetics are a huge part of most gacha games, since its release, HoYoverse’s most popular title did not feature too many alternative skins for their playable characters.
Genshin Impactapproximately introduces four skins a year, two during the Lantern Rite Festival, and two around the Summer event. The previous update 3.8 introduced two new outfits for popular characters that arrived back in 2020, Kaeya and Klee. Kaeya is the second free-to-play unit to get a new outfit after Lisa received her Sumeru-themed skin back in version 3.4.

A new post by a Twitter account named Teyvattabloid2 has revealed that two Liyue characters could get new outfits in the future. Those two characters are the five-star Cryo bow user Ganyu and the four-star Hydro sword unit Xingqiu. If the rumors are true, the skins will most likely bepart of the Lantern Rite Festivalsince both characters come from the Geo nation which is where the festival always takes place. When it comes to their quality, both skins will apparently have a four-star rarity. It should be noted that these leaks need to be taken with a grain of salt since the Lantern Rite Festival is still many months away.
When it comes to their power on the field, bothGanyu and Xingqiu are considered S-tier charactersin their respective roles. Even though Ganyu was released way back in version 1.2 alongside the Geo alchemist Albedo, she is still the go-to Cryo DPS character for manyGenshin Impactplayers. She was the first bow user to have a special Charged Attack that has two levels which are determined by charging time.
In order to get her DPS potential to the next level, players need to use her level 2 CA which deals AoE Cryo damage. The four-star character Xingqiu is known as one of themost powerful Hydro users in the gameand a member of the famous National team composition. Despite including only four-star characters, this team composition often tops the Spiral Abyss usage charts.
Xingqiu is a great off-field DPS or support character that can constantly apply Hydro damage to nearby enemies. Considering that he is a four-star unit,Genshin Impactplayers can easilyacquire all of Xingqiu’s constellation levels.
