He offers paternal advice to De Sardet when in negotiations with opposing forces, however, is also a skilled diplomat who can manipulate the opposition on the player’s behalf.

Also, as a high-ranking bishop within the Thélème clergy, Petrus possesses undeniable proficiency with magic that he will use in combat to shield the player or unleash ethereal fury upon enemies. However,one’s relationship with Petrus is a bit different than with the other companionsas he acts more like a kind and supportive relative as opposed to a friend and potential romantic partner.
This lack of wooing potential should not be a deterrent for players seeking to get closer to Petrus, as becoming friends with him will result in a passive bonus to one’s Charisma Talent while the good bishop is in De Sardet’s party. To do this, gamers will have to complete their personal quests, which get unlocked as one progresses through the main quests of the game and can be started by speaking with Petrus.
Petrus' Personal Quest #1 - The Vices Of The Mother Cardinal
The first of Petrus' personal quests will be to help the bishop investigate another high-ranking member of the Thélème clergy, Mother Cardinal Cornelia.
Petrus thinks that she is up to something unsavory and asks De Sardet for their help in investigating, though, be prepared as this will take one’s party to the Thélème city of San Matheus, so a positive relationship with this faction would be beneficial here.

Petrus' Personal Quest #2 - Dangerous Bets
The player will be able to start this quest after a few in-game days have gone by and Petrus has had time to contemplate his next political move.
The friendly bishop will tell one of his plans to manipulate Mother Cardinal Cornelia by interfering with her vices that were previously discovered.

Petrus' Personal Quest #3 - Sins Of Father Petrus
After once more waiting a few more days, the player will be able to initiate the third and final personal quest for father Petrus. This one is a bit closer to home in that it heavily revolves around De Sardet’s past as well as their mother.
There has been mention of Petrus knowing the player since they were a child, though, it was not mentioned until this point that Petrus interacted with De Sardet’s parents in such a familiar way. This quest may not be able to lead to a romanceable situation, but it will lead to answers about the player character’s origin and what happened to their mother.
