Beginning with leaked footage that hit the internet back in late 2018, it soon became apparent that this highly-anticipated release was not only real but looked to be the type ofHarry Pottervideo game that fans had been clamoring for ever since the debut of the movies.
Luckily, it seems even more evidence has been uncovered that seems to prove the existence of Warner Brothers' long-awaitedHarry Potterproject, with an image insideAvalanche Studio Group’scharacter designer’s office hinting that the franchise’s universe is a big point of study over at the game studio. On the developer’s desk, there seems to be a copy of aHarry PotterCharacter Vault guide, which contains information on the Wizarding World’s most notorious characters.

Evidently, many are taking this as a confirmation that theHarry PotterRPGis indeed in the works over at Avalanche Studios, especially as the book’s location seems to align with other reports that have come to light in the past. Obviously, Avalanche has been rumored to be working on the title for quite some time, with the studio even seeming to be leading up to a big reveal of a new game in recent months. It seems this image all but confirms that fans looking towards Avalanche forHarry Potternews have been correct in their assumption.
As for what the RPG will actually entail, the leaked gameplay footage seemed to imply that players will get to create their ownHogwarts student, having them placed into a house, and eventually be able to explore Hogwarts as well as a number of other iconic areas. It will supposedly be a prequel to theHarry Potterstories, taking place over a hundred years before the battle between the Boy Who Lived and Lord Voldemort. Alongside getting to master a number of spells, the game will supposedly feature a morality system that allows players to craft either a good or evil witch or wizard.
It’s undeniably exciting to consider the game is not far off, however, players looking for aHarry Potter RPGto jump into while they wait for the release should look no further than a recentMinecraft mod that’s based within the Wizarding World. Allowing users to begin their own Hogwarts journey, the mod was in development for several years, releasing last month and attracting a lot of mainstream attention.
