This new Rewards Track gives all the benefits of previous Tracks: 11 free card packs, a random Epic and two random Legendary cards, a few tavern tickets, a returningHearthstonehero skin, and a bunch of gold. Unique toVoyage to the Sunken City, players can unlock golden playsets of seven new cards, the Ambassador Faelin Legendary card, a card back, and the Murky Mercenary.
Those who purchase the Tavern Pass will also unlock new cosmetic rewards, including a golden version of Blademaster Okani and the diamond Sir Finley, Sea Guide. If that was not enough, they also get the Harth Stonebrew Battleground bartender and a new coin skin. In addition, they receive all three Murky Mercenary portraits, eight Battlegrounds hero skins, and 12Hearthstonehero skins, including one of Ambassador Faelin, themain character ofVoyage to the Sunken City.
The new hero skins are all delightful, deep-sea versions ofwell-knownWarcraftheroes. From the Sea Dragon Queen Alexstrasza to Edwin VanReef, these heroes promise to bring a year of nautical nonsense toHearthstone. Though full art for all of these heroes is not entirely available yet,Hearthstoneartist Angelina Chernyak shared her illustrations of Naga Sylvanas and Handmaiden Tyrande, two alternate heroes players can unlock with the Tavern Pass.
ManyHearthstoneplayers cannot wait to dive into this expansion cycle’s Rewards Track. Some are saying it may be the best Rewards Track to date, given the diversity of hero portraits and rewards available to them.
Of course, there are always those who dread the release of new card sets. In addition to the135 new cards inVoyage to the Sunken City, the expansion begins the Year of the Hydra, meaning the three sets from 2020 are no longer in standard, and the Core set is being changed. Though an uncertain meta can cause stress and conflict, most players seem eager to set sail for new shores.
