Fans have been anticipating anotherBattlefieldinstallment for quite some time, so whenBattlefield 2042was announced earlier this year, fans were eager to jump back into the first-person shooter. Unfortunately, however,Battlefield 2042has recently been released to very negative reviewsfrom fans due to various issues with the title such as inconsistent framerates, missing features, and sometimes broken gunplay.
Despite the negativity,Battlefield 2042’ssales are reportedly off to a strong startwith the title selling more than 4 million copies in its first week of release. Many first-person shooter fans that are either skippingCall of Dutythis year or are not interested inHalo Infiniteare still playingBattlefield. EA is still working on fixing some of the issuesBattlefield 2042has, and although not traditionally considered a bug, there is one odd behavior in the game that might need to be fixed in the future.

Battlefield 2042features several vehicles players can take control of such as tanks, helicopters, and boats. One Reddit user by the name of seansyyyyy shared a hilarious gameplay clip where they were attempting to shoot an enemy inside of a stationary LATV4 Recon. Although landing a few bullets, the user was unable to kill the enemy due to them spamming the switch seat option. Because the enemy was constantly switching seats and ultimately received aid from an ally, seansyyyyy was unable to kill them and ended up dying.
Although typically regarded as a more realistic first-person shooter, there are a couple of mechanics inBattlefield 2042that players think would need addressing in the future. Such examples include theSanta ClausBattlefield 2042skinthat seems to contradict the overall tone of the game. Of course, being able to switch seats is a necessity when vehicles are involved, but the idea of the game simply teleporting players seems a little off.
The game is still in its first month of release, though, and EA is still working on fixing some major issues forBattlefield 2042with a large patch having just been releaseda few days ago. Unfortunately forBattlefield 2042fans, there isn’t a single-player campaign that players can jump into while some of the multiplayer issues get resolved.
Regardless of the issues still present inBattlefield 2042, the franchise still has a loyal following evident by the numerous gameplay clips being shared daily and the impressive first-week sales.Halo Infinite’searly releasedid steal some ofBattlefield 2042’sthunder, but with more stability patches as well as a larger selection of maps and the franchise might end up returning to its former glory.
