Hogwarts Legacyplayers will be able to upgrade and customize their brooms, according to the official Wizarding World TikTok account.Brooms are an important staple of theHarry Potterfranchise, with witches and wizards using them for transportation as well as competing in sports like Quidditch.

Quidditch will be not playable inHogwarts Legacy, but that doesn’t mean brooms won’t be featured in the game. It’s long been established thatHogwarts Legacywill let players fly on brooms for transportation purposes. In theHarry Potterbooks and movies, there are a variety of different broom models and types for the characters to choose from, but it seems those playingHogwarts Legacywill not have the same luxury. It’s been confirmed thatHogwarts Legacyplayers will not be able to buy different broomsticks in the game, though it’s not all bad news.

It sounds likeHogwarts Legacyplayers will be stuck with the same broom model throughout their time with the game, but the broom itself can be customized. According to a new Wizarding World TikTok video,Hogwarts Legacyplayers canvisit a shop in Hogsmeadethat sells cosmetic alterations they can use to give their brooms a unique look. Furthermore, players will be able to assist the shopkeeper by completing missions that in turn allow them to upgrade their broom and improve its versatility. Since brooms seem to be the main method of transportation inHogwarts Legacy, it will definitely be important for players to do this as much as they can.

WhileHogwarts Legacywill let players fly around the school grounds on broomsticks, there will be other modes of transportation in the open worldHarry Pottergame as well.Hogwarts Legacyalso lets players ride on the backs of some magical beasts, including hippogriffs and thestrals. It’s unclear what kind of restrictions may be placed on magical beast mounts inHogwarts Legacywhen compared to using one’s broom, but players should have a much better idea of how it all works when they’re finally exploring open world Hogwarts for themselves.

Luckily, the wait to playHogwarts Legacyis nearly over. Those that pre-order theHogwarts LegacyDigital Deluxe Editionor Collector’s Edition will have the chance to play the game on February 7, three full days before the official release date. Of course, this only applies to gamers on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, as the other versions ofHogwarts Legacyhave had their release dates pushed back, unfortunately.

Hogwarts Legacylaunches on February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, April 4 for PS4 and Xbox One, and July 25 for Nintendo Switch.
