Follow-Up Attack In Honkai Star Rail
Follow-Up attackinHonkai: Star Railis a mechanic where characters would attack automatically out of turn if certain conditions are met. This meansplayers can’t do follow-up attacks themselves, instead they need to fulfill the requirements.
For example, Herta will perform a follow-up attack if an enemy’s HP fall to 50% or less (defeating them also counts). The instances of follow-up Herta does follow the number of enemies that fulfill this condition. For example, if players defeated three enemies atonce with the Trailblazer inHonkai: Star Rail, then Herta will perform three instances of follow-up attacks.
Characters That Do Follow-Up Attacks
Other than normal follow-up attacks,countersare also considered follow-up attacks. This includes abilities likeMarch 7th or Clara’s Talent. March counters when an ally with a shield got hit, while Clara counters when she herself is attacked.
Meanwhile, normal follow-up attacks include those performed byHimeko; she does this when three enemies are inflicted with Weakness Break. As for the unreleasedHonkai: Star Railcharacter, Jing Yuan, he has a Lightning-Lord ability that automatically attacks every once in a while (players can see it in the turn sequence on the top left). The attack depends on the number ofLightning-Lord’s Hitsstacks he has, and it’s considered a follow-up attack.
Follow Up Attack Blessing In Simulated Universe
Players looking to understandfollow-up attackinHonkai: Star Raillikely wonder what it means from the Simulated Universe’s Blessing. In the Simulated Universe, the Path of Elation focuses on surprises, including follow-up attacks. Unfortunately,as there are only a limited number of charactersthat can perform this, Blessing of Elation is often rather niche.
However, if Trailblazers are lucky enough to get theChampion’s Dinner: Cat’s Cradleblessing, then it’d be a great idea to stack more on Elation Blessings. This buff turnsall Ultimateinto follow-up attacks, increasing the damage by 15% (55% upon upgrade). If players focus on enhancing this Blessing, they’ll find themselves capable ofeffectively breaking the enemy’s Toughness, dealing large damage, stacking up lots of Crit, or even restoring Skill Points with ease.
