Those who do complete Can’t Stop Won’t Stop will unlock the My Job Here is Done Trophy, which many consider to be one of the hardestFinal Fantasy 7 RebirthTrophies to obtain. They’ll also gain access to new characters for a couple of the mini-games and a brand-new piece of Materia to play around with.

Updated July 09, 2025, by Tom Bowen:Can’t Stop Won’t Stop is FF7 Rebirth at its most sadistic; pitting players against a series of seemingly impossible challenges for very little reward. For a while there, in fact, completing it was technically impossible due to an error that was introduced by one of the game’s early updates. Thankfully, that bug has now been ironed out, though besting the Ultimate Party Animal is still far from easy. In particular, players may need help figuring outhow to beat the Shinra Middle Manager in 3D Brawler, which is where our cheat sheet and video guide should come in handy. Players can scroll down the page to find them or clickhereto be taken to the appropriate section right away.
How to Start the Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Side Quest in FF7 Rebirth
Before players can start the Can’t Stop Won’t Stop side quest they will first need to completeevery other side quest inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthand also emerge victorious from the big Musclehead Colosseum fight in the game’s twelfth chapter. Once they’ve done so, they’ll be able to accept the job via the Costa del Sol Community Noticeboard, after which, they can speak to the Shinra Middle Manager at the Gold Saucer to get the ball rolling. To complete the side quest, they’ll need to beat his scores in five Gold Saucer mini-games and then take him on in a round of 3D Brawler.
Players can tackle the Chocobo Races, Galactic Saviours, G-Bike, and Musclehead Colosseum challenges in any order they like. However, they’ll only be able to challenge the Ultimate Party Animal to a round of Queen’s Blood after beating his G-Bike score and must complete all five mini-games before they challenge him in 3D Brawler.

How to Beat the UPA’s High Score at the Chocobo Races
The Beat the UPA’s High Score at the Chocobo Races objective requires players to best the Shinra Middle Manager in a 1v1 Chocobo race. This is arguably one of the easier objectives, particularly for those who already have a good grasp ofhowFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s Chocobo racing mini-game works. The main difference here is that the course is a bit longer than the ones players will be used to and requires a lot more drifting to successfully navigate. Players will also need toavoid getting too close to the UPA while he’s glowing red, as doing so will result in them getting stunned. Other than that though, players can justfocus on collecting boosts and dodging Tonberry gatesas they usually would.
How to Beat the UPA’s High Score in Galactic Saviors
Beating the UPA’s high score in Galactic Saviors may require a little bit of practice, but shouldn’t prove to be difficult once players understand how their final score is calculated.Destroying every unit in a squad will result in a Squad Kill bonus, so players should focus on doing this. Though performing barrel rolls can result in near miss bonuses, it also uses up the ship’s energy, decreasing the amount of Proton Bombs that can be used. As such, players should prioritize using Proton Bombs over performing barrel rolls, as doing so will generally yield more points. It’s also a good idea torefrain from using restorative charges until the last possible moment, as points will be awarded for each charge that players have left at the end of their run.
How to Beat the UPA’s High Score in G-Bike
Beating the UPA’s G-Bike score can seem daunting at first, but with the right strategy, it’s actually relatively straightforward. Players shouldprioritize collecting the blue G emblems, as these will add points to their score as well as refilling Cloud’s energy meter. They’ll also want tosave the Spinning Slash attack for moments when a large number of enemies all appear at once. There are two or three points in the course where this happens, so it’s good to have a Spinning Slash ready and waiting. Other than that, players just need topay attention to the proximity indicatorsletting them know when an enemy is coming up behind them, as doing so will allow them to take out enemies as they pass rather than having to chase them down.
How to Beat the UPA’s High Score in Queen’s Blood
Those hoping to beat the UPA at Queen’s Blood should build a deck that attacks on two different fronts. When combined with a bunch of replacement cards,Tonberry Kingis pretty OP as it has a relatively low draw cost and grows stronger each time a friendly card is destroyed. Players may also want to consider pairingDiowithLoveless, as this combination can yield a lot of points when used correctly. Just about anyviable Queen’s Blood deckwill work here, but players will need tokeep the effects of the Ultimate Party Animal card in mind. When this card is in play, the loser of a row’s score is added to the winner’s, so if players know that they’re going to lose a row, it’s better to flood it with low-scoring cards so as to minimize the benefit to the UPA.
Of the five Musclehead Colosseum battles, players only really need to worry about two: the second, which sees the party square off against an army of Tonberries, and the fourth, which features two Jokers and a Gigantoad. Players can turn the Tonberry fight into a walk in the park if theyequip the whole party with Safety Bits or Karmic Cowls, as these allow party members tosurvive instant death attacks. As for Round 4, players shouldfocus on evading the Jokers' Soul Sucker attacks and targeting the Gigantoad’s tongue. Those having trouble with other rounds should consult the enemy intel above for information on weaknesses and resistances and how to pressure and stagger each enemy type.

How to Beat the Shinra Middle Manager in 3D Brawler
After beating all of the other challenges, players will need to defeat the UPA in a round of 3D Brawler. This is by far the hardest part of the Can’t Stop Won’t Stop side quest, even if playersuse pause buffering to make things easier. For those unaware, pause buffering is where players repeatedly pause the game so that they can see what’s about to happen next and plan their response accordingly. In this case, players can use this method todetermine what the UPA’s next attack is going to be and then prepare the input needed to dodge. A lot of other sites recommend that players spam the input in question, but it’s better tohold the appropriate dodge input and then unpause the game, as doing so will trigger it on the first possible frame.
Even with this method, though, players will need to understand what each of the UPA’s attacks looks like. Some are quite distinct, but there are a handful that look nearly identical to one another, with only a few subtle differences. Players shouldstudy the images above and compare them to the one on their pause screen, paying close attention to the positions of both of the UPA’s arms and whether or not they are bent or straight. With a little bit of practice, they should get pretty good at determining which type of punch the Shinra Middle Manager is about to throw, which will in turn make dodging them consistently a lot easier.
As with other 3D Brawler opponents, the Shinra Middle Manager will occasionally perform combos. Thankfully, he only has two possible punch combinations, both of which are pre-determined, allowing players tofigure out which combo he is using by studying the first punch. However, even knowing which inputs are needed in advance, dodging these combos can be pretty tricky due to the timings required. If players flick their sticks too early or too late, Cloud will block the next punch instead of dodging it; depriving players of their chance to punch back and increasing the UPA’s limit gauge a little in the process. As such, players shouldwait until the UPA has finished winding up the punch before attempting to dodge. In other words, wait until the exact moment that his punching arm is about to start moving forward toward Cloud.
