A new mod forMarvel’s Spider-Man Remasteredallows players to turn the web-slinger into Tobey Maguire’s “pizza time” outfit from theSpider-Man 2film. The modding community has been having a blast with the PC release ofMarvel’s Spider-ManRemasteredsince its release back in August. With this new mod allowing players to don the iconic outfit from one of the most memed parts of the original film trilogy, it doesn’t appear like the modding scene forMarvel’s Spider-Man Remasteredis ever going to run out of ideas for new mods and fun ways to experience the game.
WhenMarvel’s Spider-Manwas originally announced as a PS4 exclusive, it didn’t seem like a PC version would ever see the light of day. PC versions of games are usually highly requested for the ability to mod the game to create new costumes, experiences, and ways to play the game. When the game hit PC with the remaster, though, the creativity of the modding community broke through and seems to be endless. Among this mod to play as Tobey Maguire, there are other mods for Spidey-specific costumes, and then there are hilarious mods, like being able toplay as Kermit the Frog inMarvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.

In a post made to Reddit by user kaan101xp, the “pizza time” Spider-Man from Tobey Maguire’s portrayal of the character in theSpider-Man 2film has been put up for all to see and try for themselves. The mod replaces the “undies” costume for Peter Parker with the “pizza time” skin instead. In addition to other versions of Spider-Man, other iconic Marvel characters have been modded into the game as skins, such as a recent mod that allows players toreplace Spider-Man with X-Men’s Wolverine inMarvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.
Additionally, the “pizza time” Tobey Maguire skin is a part of a pack of mods that can be downloaded from Nexusmods, which houses the majority of popular mods for games. This mod bundle also includes other Tobey Maguire skins for the game, such as his “emo” casual appearance inSpider-Man 3and his casual outfit from theNo Way Homefilm. The mods were created and uploaded to Nexusmods by user reza825. All of these mods are cosmetic only and do not change the way the game is played. However, there are mods that do that as well, such as amod that allowsMarvel’s Spider-Man Remasteredto be played in first-person.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remasteredis becoming a modder’s dreamland. There seems to be a mod for almost anything. There’s even a mod that allows players toplay as Jesse Pinkman fromBreaking BadinMarvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. With so much creativity from fans being injected into the game, it’s hard to imagine that the game was originally not released on PC. Hopefully, even more PlayStation-exclusive games will make their way to PC in the future.
