Summary
The latest season ofMarvel Snap, A Blink in Time, is now available on PC and mobile devices. This content drop introduces five newMarvel Snapcards and two extra locations, among other novelties.
Marvel Snaplaunched in beta in October 2022 before receiving a full-fledged release come August 2023. Developer Second Dinner has been treating it to seasonal content on a monthly basis ever since. NewMarvel Snapseasonscommonly start on the first Monday of each month.

This month offers a slight deviation from that pattern, with the latestMarvel Snapseason kicking off on Tuesday, May 7. Called a Blink in Time, this season comprises five new characters to collect, including another variant ofMarvel Snap’s Blink. Unlike its 3-Cost, 1-Power counterpart, this latest variation of Blink requires 5 Mana points to put in action and has a power rating of 6. Its special ability is triggered on reveal, allowing the player to swap the last played card with a higher-cost one from their deck. This potentially makes it super useful for performing wild tempo swings that can decide a match.
New Marvel Snap ‘A Blink in Time’ Season Cards
Another one ofMarvel’s superheroesstarring in A Blink in Time is Nocturne. Aside from offering a solid 1.66 Power points per Mana spent, this 3-Cost card has an interesting ability to move to a random location. While fully embracing its randomness will inevitably yield mixed results, its effect may find use inMarvel Snapmove decks that are all about taking advantage of the game’s multi-location format. A Blink in Time also introduces another 3-Cost card in the form of Sage, which comes with 0 Power but gains two additional Power points for each different Power among the surrounding cards, thus offering some decent versatility.

Decks revolving around buffing low-cost cards instead of packing heavy-hitters may benefit from Namora, another new character introduced inMarvel Snap’s May 2024 season. This 5-Cost, 5-Power superhero gives +5 Power to all of the player’s cards that are alone at a different location. The final A Blink in Time character addition is Sasquatch, a 6-Cost, 10-Power card with a discount mechanic, which reduces its Cost by a point for each card its owner played in the previous turn.
The new season also introduces two extra locations in the form of Panoptichron and Cancun. The former raises the power of cards that didn’t start in the player’s deck by two, while the latter prevents any Power used in it from counting toward winning the game, allowing for some potentially interesting interactions. Three new albums are also part of the seasonal content drop; the first of those is already available today, while the remaining two will debut on the 15th and 31st of May. The next stop onMarvel Snap’s 2024 content roadmapis expected to follow on or around June 3.
