For many fans of the series,Mass Effect: Andromedaleft a bit to be desired. Though Bioware fixed a lot of the issues, fans were still apprehensive about playing the game. Many fans were disappointed that theirfavorite characters from the original trilogywere not the stars of Andromeda, but they still appear in some ways. For example, players can find recordings made by Liara T’Soni in Alec Ryder’s quarters.

Additionally, most fans may be unaware that Javik and Tali’Zorah’s voice actors also feature inMass Effect: Andromeda. Javik’s voice actor, Ike Amadi, voices a human scientist named Dr. Ramirez on Prodromos. He also voices the Roekaar Taavos,who features in some side quests. Likewise, Tali’s voice actress Ash Sroka voices Darket Tiervian, a Turian colonist found on Prodromos.

9The Rick And Morty Reference Outside Nexus Tech Labs

Fans of theRick and Mortyfranchise may recognize a reference to the show in the corridors outside the Tech Labs on the Nexus. When players enter the corridor and look to the wall on the right, they will see the words “C-137” written on the wall.

This is a reference to the home dimension in theRick and Mortyshow. As time passes on in the show, it becomes unclear whether the characters are still in their home dimension or in another one.

8Z7 Imp Figure In Ryder’s Quarters

When Ryder gets access to the Tempest, players can find a miniature figure of the Imp’s mech fromPlants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.

The figure in the Tempest refers to the Z7 Imp skin, aMass Effectthemed skin that was released for the game. The number Z7 refers to the N7 soldier ranking given to Commander Shepard and a few other characters in the Mass Effect universe. Players would be able to acquire the Z7 Imp skin for Plants and Zombies if they had pre-ordered the game.

7Comments On N7 Armor

InMass Effect: Andromeda,players can craft the N7 armor for their charactersto wear, even though Ryder is not an N7 soldier themselves. Most characters will not have much reaction to the armor; however, the mayor of Prodromos, August Bradley, will. When players talk to August in Prodromos wearing the armor, he will chastise Ryder for wearing the armor set.

Players can attempt to justify their actions for wearing the armor, and Bradley relents to a degree. He will not force players to take off the armor, regardless of his reservations. Interestingly, he doesn’t make anycomments if players equip the N7 gunsin his presence.

6Emails From Dragon Age Characters

Upon completing the game, players receive numerous messages of congratulations in their e-mail. One such message will be addressed from “V.Tethras” who says they will write a book on it. Players of theDragon Agefranchise will recognize the name as Varric Tethras, a dwarf author who appears inDragon Age 2andDragon Age: Inquisition.

Similarly, players can find messages from Anders fromDragon Age 2,as well as C. Hawke as in Carver Hawke. Fans of theDragon Ageseries will recognize the latter as their character’s younger brother.

5Dawnstar Comet

When cruising through the Faroang system, players will get the opportunity to investigate a comet called Dawnstar. This is a reference to a character of the same name in Bioware’s action RPGJade Empire. Named after a mysterious light, the character can sense spirits around them.

The comet will only yield a small amount of Platinum when scanned. Moreover,the analysis from the scan revealsthe comet is very bright and is rich in a substance called Nephrite. The mineral Nephrite is a kind of jade, once again implying a reference toJade Empire.

4Star Wars Reference In Liam’s Loyalty Mission

During Liam’s loyalty mission, players will be tasked with clearing a Kett ship that has been taken over by pirates. As players eliminate the pirates, they will receive communication from the enemy bridge about the commotion. Ryder makes an excuse about a weapon’s malfunction and then asks the pirate, “How are you?”

This is a reference toStar Wars: A New Hope. Han Solo and Luke Skywalker receive communication aboard the Death Star after dispatching several Stormtroopers in similar conditions to Ryder and Liam. Han Solo attempts to bluff his way out, using the same piece of dialogue that Ryder uses.

InMass Effect 3, players find a terminal on Sur’kesh and repeatedly press its buttons. However, doing so will irritate its Salarian operator, who has a plethora of responses. InAndromeda, players can go through a similar situation on the planet Kadara.

In a cave, they will find a Salarian next to a terminal. Like the terminal inMass Effect 3, players can keep pressing the button for as long as they want with no real consequences. Doing so will draw out a host of annoyed responses from the operator.

2Cerberus Shuttle Colors In Kadara

Players can find plenty of UT-47 Kodiak drop shuttles in Andromeda, which are used by the Initiative as their preferred means of interstellar travel. While there are many Kodiak shuttles in-game, players can spot a unique model on Kadara.

Ryder Being Annoying By Repeatedly Pressing Buttons

On Kadara port, players can see a shuttle taking offthat has been painted with Cerberus colorsrather than the Initiative color scheme. Though the game references Cerberus in conversations and terminal entries, the shuttle is the only physical presence the organization has inAndromeda.

In the present-day world, Space X is pushing the boundaries of what is possible when it comes to space travel. With their Falcon Heavy rocket, Space X aims to explore planets within our solar system with a manned mission to Mars being planned.

In Andromeda, Space X is responsible for galvanizing space exploration. Players can find a model rocket that resembles Space X’s Falcon Heavy rocket in Ryder’s quarters aboard the Tempest. When players investigate, they can unlock a codex entry that talks about the organization’s role in establishing the European Space Agency’s first major settlement on Mars.
