It’s on the side of theCrash Bandicoot 4pizza boxes where things get especially interesting. Another message reading, “Hungry for more? Try out our new Wumpa Pizza for $12.08!” can also be found. $12.08 is believed to be a clever way of saying December 8, which just so happens to be the date of2022’s The Game Awardsevent. Again, there’s no explicit mention of a game announcement whatsoever, but it is definitely the clear implication of the message.
WhatCrash Bandicootfans are pondering is exactly what game Activision will be announcing. “Wumpa Pizza” isn’t the name of any known game, but perhaps it’s a clue. Along-rumoredCrash Bandicootprojectis namedWumpa League, a free-to-play party game said to be similar in nature toFall Guys. Wumpa Pizza could be a hint towardWumpa League, though that’s by no means certain.
Further evidence of a newCrash Bandicootgame being in development game from Activision studio Toys for Bob. In August, Toys for Bob posted a photo of all the games the team has ever made, leaving a blank frame for its eighteenth game.Toys for Bobwas the developer ofCrash Bandicoot 4, and gained live service experience supporting the development of Call of Duty: Warzone more recently.
