Last November, Wizards of the Coast launched a newMagic: The Gatheringbrand called Secret Lair Drop Series, which groups reprints with special art into thematic sets and makes them available for purchase for a single day. Less than two weeks ago, the developer revealed a new batch of Secret Lairs that were focused around theGods of Theros, and now WotC is back with yet another Secret Lair, this time celebrating International Women’s Day.
Dubbed Secret Lair: International Women’s Day 2020, this newMagic: The Gatheringproduct will be available for 24 hours beginning at 9am PST on Sunday, March 8. The cost is $49.99, there is a limit of 15 per customer, and the cards contained within feature some ofMagic’s most powerful women. Here are the exact contents of the forthcoming Secret Lair: International Women’s Day 2020:

As indicated, all of the cards in Secret Lair: International Women’s Day 2020 sport brand new art, and these beautiful pieces come from Mila Pesic, Livia Prima, Cynthia Sheppard, Anna Steinbauer, and Magali Villeneuve. Fans can get a look at this new artwork below, andWizards of the Coaststates that $25 will be donated to World Association Of Girl Guides And Girl Scouts for every Secret Lair that is sold.
Furthermore, players that purchase Secret Lair: International Women’s Day 2020 will also receive a code to redeem a Saskia the Unyielding sleeve onMagic: The Gathering Arena. While Wizards suggests that thisMTG Arenacosmeticmay eventually be available for direct purchase, the Secret Lair is currently only the confirmed method for obtaining it, which may indeed tempt some fans to take the plunge.

As previously mentioned, this is certainly not thefirst Secret Lair Drop Series, and previous offerings have given fans access to alternate-art versions of Bitterblossom, the snow lands, and beyond. However, Secret Lair: International Women’s Day 2020 is the first time that there has been a charitable component to the product, and Wizards stats that more of these are planned for the future. While the exact cards to be included in these forthcoming “Secret Lair philanthropic drops” are not known, some fans will simply be happy to see the developer taking this approach.
Magic: The Gathering’s Secret Lair: International Women’s Day 2020 will be available on August 03, 2025.
