Earlier today, Nintendo released a new trailer for the Nintendo Switch re-release ofSuper Mario 3D World, more specifically theall newBowser’s Furycontent. But the announcements didn’t stop there, as the company unveiled a second new collectible pin set its releasing as part of theSuper Marioseries' 35th anniversary celebrations.

The set consists of six different pins, with one being of theSuper Mario35th’s anniversary logo, featuring Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Bowser, and a Goomba. The rest are all based on notable titles from the series history, specificallySuper Mario Sunshine,Super Mario Galaxy,New Super Mario Bros. U,Super Mario 3D World, andSuper Mario Odyssey.

To earn the pin set, 15 missions must be completed. It doesn’t matter which ones, with the only mandatory one being a purchase ofSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, which is due to release in February.

However, at the time of writing, only 13 missions are available, with several others, like the NintendoVS Challenge Cup andSuper Mario Maker 2challenge, having ended. Hopefully, Nintendo will add new ones so anyone who’s only just starting isn’t immediately locked out of earning a pin set. The only other way to get one is to enter a sweepstakes competition, where there are many other prizes to win as well, like figures, T-shirts, andLego sets.

Nintendo does warn that the pin set will only be available in limited quantities, so there’s not necessarily a guarantee that completing the missions will net someone a set. Anyone who is interested has until April 1 to enter, which seems to be when Nintendo will wrap up the celebrations as it’s the day afterSuper Mario 3D All-Starsis being delisted.

2021 looks to be a big year for the company, with fans having high expectations for both theLegend of ZeldaandPokemonanniversaries happening and it marking the grand opening of its theme park in Japan.

There is also hope thata new Nintendo Directwill arrive this month and shed some light on whatever new games the company has planned for 2021 and/or provide an update on titles likeThe Legend of Zelda:Breath of the Wild 2andMetroid Prime 4.
