Nearly 30 years in, thePokemonseries has breached the 1,000 milestone with a total of 1,025 different monsters over nine generations in existence. Some Pokemon have baby evolution forms, and if each of the over 1,000 who don’t have them were to get one, the total would likely double. It’s also worth noting that Legendary Pokemon don’t really have baby forms, even if some of them have adorable and cutesy designs.
Redditor rc1246, who has alsopreviously designed baby forms for other Legendary Pokemon, shared their cute designs of infant versions of mythical Generation 2 icons Raikou and Suicune, the Thunder-type and Water-type beasts, respectively. Baby Raikou looks a lot like a kitten with rounder and softer versions of its typically lithe features, while little Suicune looks like a puppy in the same style. Fellow fans expressed how cute the designs were, and as for the missing third Gen 2 Legendary Entei, rc1246 has said that their take on it will come very soon.
Baby Forms of Pokemon Are Popular Online
Pokemonfans apparently love the idea of baby forms for pretty much all the monsters, with player-made designs being very popular on r/pokemon. Game Freak itself has opened up this design space by retroactively creating baby versions of existing Pokemon as early as Generation 2. Rc1246 themselves had already posted this baby Suicune, along with infant forms of otherGen 2 Legendary Pokemon Ho-oh and Lugia. Other fans like to come up with baby versions of various Pokemon, exploring how established creatures would grow from their young versions to their more well-known selves.
With so many variants that Game Freak has introduced into thePokemonworld, it’s no wonder that fans like to design different forms.
