Pokemon GOhas announced an event in collaboration withDetective Pikachu Returnsthat starts on October 5 at 10 a.m. and ends on October 9 at 8 p.m. local time. The event will increase the spawn rates of 13 Pokemon, including a Pikachu wearing a detective hat,based on theDetective Pikachumovie, and a Slowpoke wearing a hat. Players can get a Raichu wearing a detective hat by evolving Pikachu. Meanwhile, Alolan Exeggutor, Magikarp, Xatu, Bellossom, Lotad, Chimecho, and Bronzor can be found in shiny form. The list ends with Growlithe, Ducklett, Cutiefly, and Falinks. The event also includes themed Field Research tasks that will reward players with Sudowoodo, Snivy, and Rowlett encounters.Pokemon GOplayers will also complete the themed Collection Challenge by completing Field Research tasks.
When is the Pokemon GO x Detective Pikachu Returns Event?
ThePokemon GOxDetective Pikachu Returnscrossover event includes double XP earned by spinning PokeStops. Once a day there’s a chance that a Pikachu with a detective hat will appear for players whotake snapshots inPokemon GO. The same Pikachu will appear for players who complete the Event Timed Research, which will be available to be claimed until October 9 at 8 p.m. local time. Finally,Pokemon GOwill release the Detective Pikachu Avatar Pose in the in-game store on October 5.
Pokemon GOSeason 12 continues until December 1, so players should wait for the announcement of other events over the next few months. Meanwhile,Detective Pikachu Returnswas announced this yearand is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 6.
