Pokemon Scarlet and Violethad a presence at the recent Pokemon World Championships event, with Nintendo releasing a new trailer for the upcoming games. The latestPokemon Scarlet and Violettrailer was light on new Pokemon reveals, instead focusing mainly on the games' combat mechanics and how the new Terastal phenomenon can shake things up. However, there was one new Pokemon revealed in the trailer that has left fans buzzing.
ThelatestPokemon Scarlet and Violettrailer saw the reveal of Cyclizar, the Dragon/Normal-type “Mount” Pokemon. In terms of the lore, Cyclizar are commonly kept by Paldea citizens, who ride on its back to travel around the region. Aesthetically, Cyclizar looks like a smaller, green version of Koraidon and Miraidon, which has resulted in some speculation that it could eventually evolve into those legendary Pokemon depending on if players pick upPokemon Scarlet(Koraidon) orPokemon Violet(Miraidon).

Besides confirming thatCyclizar will be an early-game mount forPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers, and that it has a new move called Shed Tail, not much is known about the creature. For example, fans don’t know if Cyclizar is going to evolve into Koraidon and Miraidon with 100% certainty (though it seems obvious), or what the Pokemon’s shiny form will look like. Nintendo and Game Freak haven’t made it a habit of revealing Pokemon shiny forms ahead of game launches, though, so fans likely won’t find out what a shiny Cyclizar looks like untilPokemon Scarlet and Violetlaunch on November 18.
The official Cyclizar shiny form won’t be revealed for months, but in the meantime, one fan has created their own take on the concept. Reddit user HertzBurst has designed their own Cyclizar shiny form, swapping its green body for a red one and its grey armor for something more purple. It looks as though it’s incorporating colors from bothKoraidonand Miraidon, which could be a nod to the theory that Cyclizar can evolve into thePokemon Scarlet and Violetlegendary Pokemon.
ThePokemon Scarlet and Violetrelease dateis only a few months away, but fans can expect plenty more reveals from Game Freak and Nintendo between now and when the games launch in November. There are still many unannounced newPokemon Scarlet and VioletPokemon, if the leaks are to be believed, not to mention various other alternate forms of existing Pokemon to see as well.Pokemonfans should find out more in the months ahead, though they shouldn’t necessarily expect to see the official Cyclizar shiny form.
