A new Mythical Pokemon is set to be revealed soon. Friday morning The Pokemon Company confirmed that it has a new Mythical Pokemon in the works. ThisMythical Pokemonis slated to be the star in the upcomingPokemonmovie, tentatively titledPokemon: The Movie - Coco. The new Pokemon will also, of course, be coming toPokemon SwordandPokemon Shieldsometime in the future. The date of the reveal is Pokemon Day on February 27.
No information has been provided about the new Mythical Pokemon up to now. A single 30-second trailer has been released for thePokemon: Cocomovieand the only Pokemon shown in it was Pikachu. At least, Pikachu’s the only Pokemon seen at first glance. Some have speculated that the mysterious floating bubbles in the trailer could be related to the new Pokemon. Or at the very least that the jungle itself might be tacitly related, or could even imply it’s a Grass-type Pokemon.

Pokemon: Cocois set to release in Japan in July. No western release has been confirmed as of yet. That could mean that the Mythical Pokemon is quite a ways off from being released inPokemon SwordandShield. It could mean that the Pokemon will be released in the game much earlier than the film releases, too. This sort of information will hopefully be shared on Pokemon Day.
