Pokemon Uniteplayers will have a lot to look forward to soon, as the dev team announced plans for the Winter Holiday Event coming soon to the game.Pokemon Uniterecently hosted a Halloween-themed event for players, which included new cosmetics for Pokemon and Trainers alike to browse and try on.

Withdecades of deep lore to take inspiration from,Pokemon Uniteis a MOBA with plenty of content for players to take part in, different Pokemon that fulfill different roles in a match, and different maps with their own unique gimmicks and victory conditions.

Pokemon Unitewill kick off the Winter Holiday Event on December 1. From December 1 till Christmas Day, the game will host aSnowball Battle challenge on the Shivre City map, a Holiday Login Gift incentive for players to collect, Aurora Challenges, and Aurora Ranked Matches for players to earn currencies and turn in for cosmetic items. From December 1 to January 9, the Illumination Challenge battle pass will be available for players. During this time, the cosmetic rewards that players can earn for their trainer avatars and their Pokemon are holiday-themed, ranging from sweaters to hats, as shown by the different Pokemon in a picture posted on Twitter. The customaryPokemon UniteWeekend at the start of December will be included, as well.

Running alongside the Winter Holiday Event isa crossover withPokemon Scarlet and Violet.Pokemon Uniteplayers on Switch that have aPokemon Scarlet and Violetsave file will be able to log in and claim a new outfit and trainer card background for players to use as they wish. The outfit and background will be themed around the Naranja Academy and Uva Academy uniforms and colors from each respective game. No Pokemon from the Paldea region are currently inPokemon Uniteat the time of writing, but that likely will change in the future.

The Winter Holiday Event comes afterPokemon Unitereleased Sableye, the Darkness Pokemon from Hoenn, as the game’s newest playable Pokemon. However, the game will welcome another newcomer into the ranks soon. On December 1, the game will add Urshifu, the Wushu Pokemon originally from theIsle of Armorexpansion inPokemon Sword and Shield.Urshifu will come with its Dark-type Single Strike Style and Water-type Rapid Strike Style, which will add a new layer of complexity for players to work with. Between the two new Pokemon and plenty of outfits for players to earn,Pokemon Unitewill look to keep players engaged heading into 2023 and beyond.
