An underwhelming early look at the remake was met with criticism from fans, leading Ubisoft to delay the game indefinitely. Despite being announced back in 2020,Ubisoft disappointed fans of thePrince of Persia: Sands of Time Remakewith the announcement that the game was back in the conception phase last year.
