With theSaints Rowreboot releasing on August 26, there are sure to be a plethora of things to do as there were in older entries. One of the best things to do in anySaints Rowtitle are the Activities strewn throughout a given map, providing a fun break from the main storyline. These tend to vary between one another, acting as a means for players to earn cash and respect - which helps unlock new items to purchase.

All theSaints Rowtitles have some great activitiesthat will hopefully make their way into the next game. There are standard activities one would expect to see in any open-world game, such as “Hitman,” in which players locate and kill a specific target located somewhere on the map; or “Mayhem,” in which players do as much damage as possible to the surrounding area to rack up points. However, there’s also room for new and exciting activities that innovate upon the formula, as have been seen in multipleSaints Rowgames.

What’s Next For Saints Row

Activities really shine when the series digs deep creatively. For example, the Genki activities included inSaints Row: The Thirdare insane, unique takes on average gameplay, taking place in a reality competition show set within theSaints Rowuniverse. The Genki-Bowl 7 in particular had crazy competitions that felt like a true game within a game. With the upcoming title being a reboot of the series' tone as well, players could see intricate activities that, while more realistic than cartoonish, still feel uniquely created.TheSaints Rowreboot’s realistic reimaginingof the series may work to its benefit in this regard.

As The Boss, the player’s primary job is to be a strong gang leader. There are going to be a lot of intricacies to the crime world in Santo Ileso that can be explored, not only through Hitman jobs or even delivering stolen cars ala the old Chop Shop activity, but with ideas thatSaints Rowhas yet to touch upon. In this game’s universe, there are sure to be near-endless possibilities for players to choose when it comes to how they approach their own life of crime, starting withSaints Row’s usually deep character customization.

Criminal Activities Should Pay Big in Saints Row

An interesting aspect of olderSaintsgames was the ability to hold up stores in order to steal money. Judging by how popularGrand Theft Auto Online’sHeists and other multiplayer missions are,Saints Rowshould have some kind of robbery activity of its own that can grant players large amounts of money and notoriety - with a great amount of risk. This title has large shoes to fill, having to revolutionize the gameplay of a long-dormant series while keeping the tenets that are synonymous with it. Judging bynew gameplay mechanics on display inSaints Row, this reboot may be up to the task.

Though grandiose activities would be welcomed, there should also be a fair amount of bite-sized activities that can quickly net players some much-needed cash. Pulling off arms or drug deliveries, taking out a rival gang convoy, or even getaway driver jobs would serve as a believable way to further the more grounded, rebooted atmosphere of this upcoming title while continuing the criminal themes written in this series' past. It’s only a matter of time until players find outwhat’s included inSaints Row, and if any of its new content is worth writing home about.

Saints Rowreleases on August 23 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
