AStardew Valleyplayer is maximizing their limited daily time in the game by utilizing a mod that speeds up animations. A video demonstrating the mod has drawn a lot of attention, both for the convenience of it as well as the ability to avoid oneStardew Valleycharacter in particular as much as possible.

In a video shared on TikTok by user Helloyinny, theStardew Valleymod is demonstrated. Helloyinny briefly discusses how the mod is a big help, stopping by to visit theblacksmith Clintto break open some geodes. As she shows, getting through a stack of geodes takes practically no time at all, as the mod effectively puts Clint in fast forward, allowing her to rapidly click through her available geodes and get them finished. The Fast Animation mod is available on Nexus Mods, along with myriads of otherStardew Valleymods.
While breaking open each individual geode usually doesn’t take all too long, watching the animation of Clint hitting it and the loot inside being revealed can end up eating up some time when players have dozens or even hundreds of geodes to go through. Many players have experienced Clint simply leaving for the day while they’reprocessing geodesdue to it taking so long, which poses a problem if they have to leave the geode-splitting menu after hours. At that point, there’s no option but to come back on another day, making it a nuisance to deal with.
Several fans were impressed by the mod, thinking of the time it could save them in various activities across the island. The mod isn’t limited to splitting geodes, as it can also be used to speed up common activities like harvesting crops, eating, andtaking the bus to Calico Desert. The full mod alters the speed of many different activities, or players can choose a version that only works on splitting geodes. Others were just happy to learn of an opportunity to limit their time with Clint as much as possible, expressing their dislike of the character and some of his odd behaviors that they find distasteful.
