While those who purchased all three characters got to keep them, the controversial Hawkins National Laboratory map was removed altogether and has been unplayable since. Many fans have been asking for Netflix to return the sci-fi horror series to the title, and it seems their wishes will be fulfilled.
The news comes off the heels ofStranger ThingsDay, which also sawStranger Thingscollaborate withFortniteto introduce a new Eleven skin, among others. Many fans previously theorized the return of many assets toDead by Daylight, especially since famousDead by Daylightleaker dvveet shared a screenshot of traces of the Hawkins map in the code being hidden and disabled. This heightened the discussion of bothDead by DaylightandStranger Thingsfans even more until its eventual announcement, and the current timing couldn’t be more perfect.

Behaviour Interactive officially announced thatStranger Thingswill be returning toDead by Daylight. Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, The Demogorgon, and Hawkins National Laboratory are returning to the asymmetrical horror game, as well as the respective skins and outfits for the aforementioned characters. This would also mean the return of the alternate model Jonathan Byers as a Legendary Outfit for Steve Harrington. Even the original perk names and icons for all three characters will revert to the way they were before but will remain general perks for the time being. In turn, this has made many fans of the series very happy as they’d wished for its return for quite some time.
Stranger Things Cosmetics And More Returning
With the game’s evolution during the franchise’s two-year absence, many fans can expect some difference this time around when purchasing theStranger Thingscontent. No new content was shared during the announcement, however, fans are hoping that a second chapter could emerge soon. OneDead by Daylightleaker previously shared what was analleged newStranger Thingschapter forDead by Daylight,but nothing ever came to fruition. Hopefully, with the series back on Behaviour’s radar, more new assets can be created for the game in the future.

While the new Alien killer functions somewhat similarly, the Demogorgon is a whole different beast on its own with the powerful Shred attack and opening of portals.
