With theScarlet Bondfilm’s run now finished in Japan, the film continues its successful international run, earning an estimated $1.4 million in its US opening weekend. The anime is an adaptation of theThat Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slimemanga, and the first season ran for 24 episodes from October 2018 to March 2019, with the second season running for two separate 12 episode cours from January to March 2021, and again from July to September 2021.Both seasons were produced by 8bit (BLUE LOCK, The Irregular at Magic High School), and Crunchyroll streamed both seasons as they aired, while Funimation produced an English dub for the series.TheScarlet Bondfilmwas produced by the same studio behind the TV anime and opened in Japan on November 25.
The film opened in the UK and Ireland on January 18, Australia on January 19, the United States and Canada on January 20 and Mexico on January 26. Additional dates are yet to be announced, but theScarlet Bondfilm is set to be made available in all major territories, with the rollout including the Middle East; countries in Europe; South Africa; as well as Central and South America.
