While the duo is often making things like strange phone cases, candles, keyboards, and a variety of resin items, they sometimes delve into more technical things such as 3D printing, robotics, and thermoforming. Taking their accumulated knowledge over five years ofYouTubecontent creation, Evan and Katelyn have produced a ridiculously big laptop that is most likely not intended to rest on any laps.

YouTube content creators Evan and Katelyn have taken the concept of computing to new heights as they have garnered over 35,000 likes on a video in which they make a 43-inch laptop. With most laptops including a display connected to thePC componentsand hinged to the back, the YouTubers have used a big television as the monitor for this massive device. The internal components of the machine maintain laptop proportions to fit into a nearly 2-inch gap, and they’re connected to the display utilizing two aluminum extrusions, locking hinges, and plywood.
The specs of the EvanandKatelyn DIY laptop are based around the Intel NUC 11, and it fittingly includes a bigger-than-average keyboard and trackpad, with everything weighing about 100 lbs in the final product. Because of the size of this machine, it requires an abnormal amount of power which the content creators have accounted for with three batteries that power the monitor, PC, and everything else respectively. After some troubleshooting and hard work in their shop, Evan and Katelyn’s DIY laptop ends up looking like a gaming laptop, complete withRGB lightingand a polished finish.
