Tombawas originally released for the PS1 in 1997 by former Capcom developer Tokuro Fujiwara and his studio, Whoopee Camp. The player assumes the role of Tomba, the titular pink-haired hero, who goes on a quest to recover his grandfather’s golden bracelet from a band of Evil Pigs that stole it. By using magic, the Evil Pigs and their minions wreak havoc on Tomba’s world and its denizens.Tombagot a sequel in 1999, calledTomba 2: The Evil Swine Return, but the series did not see the light of day again for years. Players looking to take a trip down memory lane withone of the PS1’s top 2D platformerswill have a clear path to getting all the trophies.According to PSNProfiles,Tomba: Special Editionwill include 32 trophies on PS4 and PS5. The game’s Platinum Trophy will be awarded after getting the other 31. The trophy list forTomba: Special Editionis divided into four gold trophies, 14 silver trophies, and 13 bronze trophies. All bronze trophies can be obtained by playing through the main story, while six silvers and two golds can be obtained by defeating all the Evil Pig bosses. A gold trophy will be awarded to players who complete all 130 in-game events. Ergo,Tomba: Special Editionwill require thoroughness to obtain the Platinum Trophy.

Tomba: Special Editionwill also include some quality-of-life updates as part of its Limited Run release, thanks to the Carbon Engine. A remastered soundtrack by the game’s original composer, Harumi Fujita, will be part ofTomba: Special Edition.
